Elizabeth James is an emerging photographer with the determination to capture all she observes in order to
create an artistic and memorable interpretation of her surroundings. To be able to recreate the moments that
grasp her attention in her own artistic work is something that drives her passion for all things photographic.
Inspired by the works of Ralph Gibson, Lee Friedlander and Ansel Adams her work often explores themes of
urban dominance within landscape, conservation and instances of human presence.
Elizabeth is an articulate communicator and is a self-motivated, creative and well organised individual with a
practical temperament. In her current photographic practice she explores a variety of ideas and subjects,
supported by macro photography and portraiture which add to a wide variety of skills both technical and
theoretical which support and promote her innovative flair.
