Troubleshooting board comes with 2 modes: 1. Machine mode Machine
mode is used to perform normal CNC
operation. Under machine mode, any change of setting on the
troubleshooting will not affect the machine normal operation.
Under machine mode, the CNC machine and troubleshooting board able
to work with the EDU MBX MWX TURN CNC Turning Machine electrical
wiring panel
2. Panel mode Panel mode is used to learn machine
troubleshooting. Under panel mode, any change of setting on the
troubleshooting board will have direct influence and impact to the
normal operation of the CNC machine.

The troubleshooting board consists of 8 modules as following:
Module 1: Power control Module 2: Controller Module 3: Turret

Module 1: Power control
This Module is use to learn wiring technique whereby student will
learn how to read wiring diagram, wire tracing and function of some
electrical component.

Module 2: CNC Controller
This Module introduces the CNC controller Motion controller section
to student. In this module Student
can used oscilloscope to monitor the signal used to control servo
motor and observe how noise interfere the motor performance.
In this module, student will also learn how to utilize PLC to help
in machine troubleshooting and observe the I/O signal change in
respect to MCP, NCK and etc.
Module 3: Turret
This module only comes with CNC Turning. In this module, student
will learn how turret is functioning and how turret will behave via
change of different signal in the turret system
This module are also able to simulate fault and show the Student
how each signal could affect the normal operation of the Turret and
some common alarm code for Turret

Module 4: ATC
This module only comes with CNC Milling with ATC system. In this
module, student will learn how ATC is functioning and how ATC will
behave via change of different signal in the ATC system
This module are also able to simulate fault and show the student
how each signal could affect the normal operation of the ATC and
some common alarm code for ATC
Module 5: Inverter
This module will teach student how to control the spindle and the
signal flow in spindle inverter system.
Beside student will also learn about how the signal from Controller
will affect the performance and operation of spindle.
This module are also able to simulate fault and show the student
how each signal could affect the normal operation of the Inverter
and some common alarm code for Inverter and Spindle

Module 6: I/O
This module will teach student about the I/O system of CNC machine.
This module has been designed
in such signal could be set to open circuit a or short circuit
easily without causing any damage to the machine
This module will able to simulate fault and show the student how
each I/O signal could affect the normal operation of the CNC
Machine.

Module 7: Servo Drive
This module will consist of 3 axes for milling machine and 2 axes
for turning machine. This module will
teach student about how servo drive is function and important
common signal required for most servo motor to operate
normally.
This module will able to simulate fault and show the student how
each I/O signal could affect the normal operation of the CNC
Machine

Module 8: Fault setting
This is the module where the lecturer could set some fault for the
student to learn troubleshooting practically. The set fault are
also invisible to the student as there is a lockable cover to close
up this module so the student will not able to realize what is the
fault being set. However one or more alarm code will show in the
CNC controller monitor and there is also a 7 segment display to
indicate how many fault has been set.
In this module the lecturer could set up to maximum 40 individual
fault and combinations of 16,777,216 differences combination
faults.
