Scottish Enterprise offer companies locating at BioQuarter wide ranging support, including financial packages, regulatory advice, marketing, and product development. Scottish Enterprise created Edinburgh BioQuarter in partnership with the University of Edinburgh, NHS Lothian, and Alexandria Real Estate Equities to foster growth in the life sciences sector and unlock the economic power of Scottish medical innovation.

Within the Edinburgh BioQuarter there was a requirements to fill breakout areas with a range of meeting seating and sofas, along with the incubation units for each company to use. The incubation units are various sizes, and needed desking with cable management, storage units and meeting tables and chairs.

Flexiform are proud to be associated with the campus and, following a competitive tender exercise through Buying Solutions (now CCS), Flexiform supplied the furniture to all common areas and incubation units. It also included the provision of laboratory seating.

The project was completed within 2012. However, Flexiform has maintained an excellent working relationship with Scottish Enterprise and BioQuarter, and the project is ongoing as their furniture needs develop with the company’s.

Flexiform has supplied each room with desking, with various sizes and formats to fit the room – and the companies needs. Each desk has a sliding top to incorporate a cable management system. Task seating was supplied along with various lateral units.
