What is meant by real-time payments (RTP) and how inevitable is the trend to adopt RTP services?
What are the demands and benefits from a customer perspective (consumer, SME and corporate)?
How can bank and non-bank payment service providers best get access to real-time infrastructures – does the sponsor/agency (indirect access) model work for real-time payments?
What types of payments lend themselves best – and which ones do not? Does the rapid advance in mobile payments go hand in hand with the adoption of RTP services?
What are the technological and organisational change implications of moving towards RTP services and what can be learnt from the early adopters?
ISO20022 or ISO8583? Do standards matter? How important is cross-border interoperability between real-time payment infrastructures?
Which insights, issues and actions can the EBA Summer School delegates take back into their organisations on this important strategic topic?
