  • 1. Who can resist the charm of London Underground’s very first tube station? Baker Street Station has character at every turn including a massive nod to the area’s most famous character! Head to the Bakerloo platform and take a seat on the bench for your first insta-worthy photo – a backdrop of Sherlock Homes wall tiles and the station roundel.

    2. Outside Baker Street station you can’t miss the tall bronze statue of Sherlock Holmes towering over the hustle and bustle of the station. Stand back and snap away.

    3. From the station take The Wonderpass, the experiential underground crossing where you can discover the story of Marylebone while you walk and peep into port-holes containing works of art. The red and white Victorian-circus themed design is a perfect scene for some creative

camera shots and be sure to pass by the dome mirrors on either end for a cheeky shot.

    4. Head down Chiltern Street, voted London’s coolest street by Conde Naste Traveller, for some seriously stylish snaps. The uniformed frontages of the independent retail stores are perfect street-scene material. Don’t miss the beautiful Grade II listed firehouse building, now home to the world famous Chiltern Firehouse.

    5. For the ultimate in Gothic architecture walk down George Street until you reach the wonderful St James’ Church. The entrance design is 13th century Gothic to a tee and modelled on Salisbury Cathedral and Westminster Abbey. Let the doorway arch be a dramatic frame for your selfies.

    6. Head to Manchester Square, one of London’s best preserved Georgian Squares, where you’ll discover plenty of insta opps including the Wallace Collection, one of the best collections of fine art in the country (and free to enter!). The Square was also formerly the site of EMI’s headquarters where at number 20, the cover image of The Beatles first LP was shot in 1963.

    7. Call in for a cocktail at The Churchill Bar inside the Hyatt Regency London – The Churchill, which you can find on Portman Square, and take a snap seated next to Mr Churchill himself. You’ll find a bronze statue of the iconic leader in the bar’s terrace which is always styled for the seasons. One to amuse your followers.

    8. Selfridges, London’s best-loved department store is always worthy subject matter, whether it’s the legendary window displays or the famous Selfridge & Co plaque that you’ll find on the building’s facade.

Whether you’re brand new to the Quarter or it’s a familiar friend, we guarantee there are plenty of

things to see, do and discover. Here are two options to keep you entertained.

    A WALKER’S GUIDE

A DAY OF DINING FROM DAWN UNTIL DUSK

    THE QUARTER’S TOP PHOTO SPOTS

BREAKFASTGet the best possible start to the day and a cheery welcome too from 106 Café, the modern European café on Baker Street. You’ll be hard pressed to choose from its array of freshly baked pastries and cakes but we say go wild-card and order the rosemary focaccia sandwich with Italian meats and cheese. Wash it down with one of its fresh-prepped juices, the apple carrot and ginger is our winner.

COFFEE BREAKIf you’re craving a mid-morning sweet treat head over to Arro Coffee for a fantastic selection of freshly baked goodies. It’s pistachio croissant is a top seller and we’re not surprised as it’s divine! Pair it with a special blend of the day coffee to keep you fired up until lunchtime. LUNCHInspired by the street hawkers, roadside cafes and railway stationsacross India, Roti Chai’s StreetKitchen is the perfect daytimehangout. Grab your mates and fillyour boots with a wide selection ofsmall tapas-style plates to share. With Bombay Bhel Puri, fingerlicking Agni ‘Fire’ Wings and divineChicken Samosa Chaat on the menu you may need to order the lot!

AFTERNOON BOOSTIt’s time for not only an energy boost but an injection of health and vitality, in liquid form. Joe & The Juice is the perfect tonic to provide some wellness in a glass. Opt for the Energiser juice and we’re sure you’ll be ready to power through until bed time!

COCKTAILSBe prepared to be transported to another time and place at Purl, the delightful multi-sensory underground cocktail bar on Blandford Street. Its extensive menu of carefully curated cocktails are crafted using aroma, fogs, airs, foams, food and liquid nitrogen. The theatre of the mixologist should not be missed and we wholeheartedly recommend propping up the bar with a Mr Hyde.

DINNERFor your final stop we want to take you to Baker Street’s very own Istanbul. Yosma is much more than your usual Turkish restaurant, think modern stylish décor, open kitchen and impressively stocked raki bar. You must sample one of its raki whilst whittling down your meze and mangal dishes to order. The Manti Turkish dumplings are to die for and you can’t leave until you try the best cheesecake in the whole of London (in our opinion!).

Snap away and share your selfies with us @BakerStreetQ
