• Many should already have a campus-wide NT account (NPGS domain)
• If not, contact help desk (x-1046, TAC@nps.edu)
• Ditto for Unix weirdos, or contact your department Unix wrangler
Configuring your mail agent
• Usually you need to provide your mail agent with some information, such as the name of your mail delivery agent, your user name and password, etc.
• Most Student accounts are filled out• To see your settings Tools -> Services click on the mailbox
assigned by NPS administrators

• Forward Mail
Address Book• Make an Address book
– Tools-> services-> address book_> add– Choose a location for *.PAB files
• Add Addresses and groups– Click address book Icon on toolbar– Click New Entry icon on pop up– Select Personal Address Book– Fill out Info– Add/Remove members from groups
• Use – Select address : click [TO]– Sent to individuals or groups

• I found Address Book convenient to use– But hard to fill out– Requires hand entry of name and E-mail
address which are subject to error– New Entries E-mail address is not
recognized until Contact entries are created anyway
• Entry Contacts are easier to create– Move message to “contact” folder

• Add contact– Drag message to contact icon– Edit , save and close
• Organize contacts– Click Contacts Icon– Click Organize on toolbar– Make category– Add contact to category
• Use Contacts– Select address : click [TO]– Sent to all in category
