Mr. N.M. Pahadiya
I.A.S.
Message It is a matter of immence pleasure to me that Kendriya
Vidyalaya is bringing out its E-Magazine for the session – 2019-20.
I hope that the E-magazine (Vidyalaya Patrika) will provide an
opportunity to the students and teachers to express themselves.
The E-magazine will go a long way in bringing desirable
changes in the overall development of the Vidyalaya in general and the
student’s community in particular. I convey my best wishes for the
successful e-publication of the Magazine.
Mr. N.M. Pahadiya, IAS
District Collector &
Chairman VMC, KV Karauli

Before expressing my views regarding such as a prestigious and esteemed school of a city I want to thank that I have got golden opportunity for writing a few words regarding not only a national but also an international Recognized institution as we know school is merely a building of bricks without its teachers .Teachers are the real building blocks of a school and I am Fortunate one who has been bestowed with highly qualified, generous and hard working teachers who are ready to help their students 24x7. In contrast to other school, my school does not solely focus on academic performance along with academic extra co-curricular activities are organized time to time and this is one of the main reason why I love my school.
If I talk about school infrastructure, its scenic beauty is so heart touching that nobody can take his eyes off. It has all the required facilities which are necessary for overall development of one’s personality. I feel blessed to study in such a glorious school of my city and I am proud to be a “kvian’’..

Importance of E-Governance in Education System
Electronic governance or e-governance is the application of information and communication technology (ICT) for delivering government services, exchange of information, communication transactions, integration of various stand-alone systems and services between government-to-customer (G2C), government-to-business (G2B).
In short we can say that E- governance is nothing but a service that act as a medium of exchange of information, transactions and services.
Benefits of E-governance:
1. Speed – Technology makes communication speedier. Internet, Phones, Cell Phones have reduced the time taken in normal communication. 2. Cost Reduction – Most of the Government expenditure is appropriated towards the cost of stationary. Paper-based communication needs lots of stationary, printers, computers, etc. which calls for continuous heavy expenditure. 3. Transparency – Use of ICT makes governing profess transparent. All the information of the Government would be made available on the internet. The citizens can see the information whenever they want to see. But this is only possible when every piece of information of the Government is uploaded on the internet and is available for the public to peruse. Current governing process leaves many ways to conceal the information from all the people. ICT helps make the information available online eliminating all the possibilities of concealing of information. 4. Accountability – Once the governing process is made transparent the Government is automatically made accountable. Accountability is answerability of the Government to the people. It is the answerability for the deeds of the Government. An accountable Government is a responsible Government.
Benefits of e-Governance in Education: The benefits of e-governance in an educational sector are improved efficiency, increase in transparency and accountability of educational administrative activities convenient and faster access to services, and lower costs for administrative services. The multi-faceted benefits of e-governance can be described as under these points Benefits to students (i) Increase participation in education affairs (ii) Personalized login for each students (iii) Extensive saving in time cost & efforts (iv) Information & transaction services (v) Job opportunities (vi) Social connectivity for collaboration (vii) Students can access virtual lectures &Seminars. (viii) Students can solve their problems like- examination queries, result verification etc.

AIR POLLUTION
Air pollution mostly occurs in industrial towns in India and abroad. While technological
developments and industrialization have led for creation of wealth and prosperity, it has
also caused a massive pollution of the environment. The harmful burning of fuels such as
coal and petroleum in some major industries like automobile, electrical power plants, etc.,
cause air pollution. Smoke emitted from factories and houses and pollute the atmosphere.
Excessive smoke and fumes have a very bad effect on plants, animals and human beings.
About 50 per cent of the air pollution is primarily due to the rapid industrialization that
has taken place in the 20th century. Automobiles greatly pollute the atmosphere. Fumes
from different types of motor vehicles cause respiratory diseases like asthma and
bronchitis.
The problem caused by air pollution is worldwide. It contaminates the atmosphere,
damages buildings and historical monuments, harms the health of the people, and causes
respiratory diseases and increases gases like carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
Nuclear plants are also a major threat. There is the risk of radioactive leaks. Nuclear tests
also pollute the air and lead to the warming of the earth’s atmosphere. The melting of ice-
caps at the poles is causing a rise in the sea level and flooding.
– Aatif khan Class- X
GLOBAL WARMING Global warming is the big environmental issue we are facing today as a greatest challenge
which we need to get solve it permanently. In fact, global warming is the continuous and
steady process of increasing in the temperature of earth surface. It needs to be discussed
widely by all countries worldwide to stop the effects of it. It has impacted the nature’s
balance, biodiversity and climatic conditions of the earth over decades.
Green house gases like CO2, Methane are the main reasons of increasing the global
warming on the earth which directly impacts the rising sea levels, melting ice caps,
glaciers, unexpected changing climate which represents life threats on the earth.
According to the statistic, it has been estimated that earth temperature has increased to
a great level since mid 20th century due to the increased atmospheric greenhouse gas
concentrations globally because of the increased demand of the human living standard.
It has been measured that year like 1983, 1987, 1988, 1989 and 1991 as the warmest six
years of the past century. This increasing global warming calls the unexpected disasters
on the earth like flood, cyclones, tsunami, drought, landslides, ice melting, lack of food,
epidemic diseases, death etc thus causing
imbalance to the nature’s phenomenon and
indicating end of life existence on this planet.
Increasing global warming lead to the more
water evaporation from earth into the atmosphere, which in turn become a greenhouse
gas and again causes rise in the global warming. Other processes like burning of fossil
fuels, use of fertilizers, rise in other gases like CFCs, tropospheric ozone and nitrous oxide
are also the reasons of global warming. The ultimate causes of such reasons are the
technological advancement, population explosion, increasing demand of industrial
expansion, deforestation, priority towards urbanization, etc.
We are disturbing the natural processes through the deforestation and use of
technological advancement like global carbon cycle, making hole in ozone layer, etc and
allowing the UV rays to come on earth thus increasing global warming. Plants are the
ultimate source of removing extra carbon dioxide from the air and making it in balance
thus by just stopping the deforestation and enhancing people for more plantation we can
get success of reducing the global warming to a great level. Controlling the population
growth is also a great hand towards reducing the global warming all through the world as
it lessons the use of destructive technologies on the earth.

Jhansi ki Rani Jhalkaribai
Born on November 22, 1830, Jhalkari, was born to
Sadoba Singh and Jamuna Devi in Bhojla village
near Jhansi. The only child to her parents, her father
had to raise her as a single parent when her mother
passed away unexpectedly when Jhalkari was still very
young.
Since the family was poor and part of the Kori caste, she didn’t have the opportunity to go to
school and get a formal education. However, right since her childhood she was taught to wield a
weapon skillfully and given horseback-riding lessons.
Tales of her bravery continue to be told in various households in Jhansi. It is said that once when
dacoits tried to raid the house of a businessman living in the village, it was Jhalkari who single-
handedly drove them away. She is also said to have killed a tiger with her axe when the animal
tried attacking her once in the jungle.
There is also a popular tale about how she once took on a leopard (again in the jungle) with
just a stick.
Jhalkari may have never met Rani Laxmibai had it not been for her betrothal to Puran Singh, a
soldier in the queen’s army. Said to be a soldier of great caliber, his skills were quickly
recognised by the generals in the court. And it was also around this time that the fateful meeting
between Jhalkaribai and the warrior queen would take place.During Gauri Puja, Jhalkari went to
the fort along with a number of women from the village. It was there that the legendary ‘Jhansi ki
Rani’ spotted her. And she was taken aback by the uncanny resemblance she shared with
Jhalkari, and inquired about her immediately. When the queen was briefed on Jhalkari’s brave
acts, she was quickly inducted into the women’s wing of the army. Here she was trained to shoot
and ignite cannons as the army was preparing for a British invasion.

THE LANGUAGE WE LOVE
The study of English language in this age of globalization is essential. English language is the
most important language of communication between different countries. In India, people of
different states have their own language. English language has come to us as a connecting
link among various states of India.
U.N. has recognized five language as its official language and of them English takes the first
position because of its background, international acclaim of easy access to the people. If we
go back to historical facts, we see that half of the globe was under the British imperialism.
Those countries coming directly under` British rule had by necessity or under compulsion to
learn English and the rest either being influenced by the English culture or to keep pace with
modern trend had but to opt for learning it.
French, German, Greek and definitely Sanskrit are not inferior to English, yet the fact is,
English had stood the test of time. From the pragmatic point of view, it should receive a great
boost. Inflict, English serves as a window to the world. It is known as to all that the legacy of
English language has left an indelible imprint on the Indian psyche. The entire spectrum of
education and philosophy, science and technology can be better understood through this
language.
The common practice all over the world is the modern age is to learn English to facilitate
easy understanding political, social, cultural and religious issues because this language is
easier then French, German, Greek and Sanskrit.
English has emerged as the most important global language. It is a wrong view to hold that it
is a language of British alone. English has evolved be a language of science and technology.
Majority of all important books for higher studies are written in English. The Indians must not
keep their eyes closed in this adventurous period of globalization.
