Does the World Wide Web seem too overwhelming?

Do I have enough time to go look for the latest news updates?

Would it help to have the latest news and events delivered, like a newspaper subscription?

If the answer is “YES” to even one of those three questions, you now have a powerful yet simple tool called RSS Gadget that will bring updates from your favorite sites, right on your Google home page.

Most of you who browse the internet regularly, have seen websites that have a little orange icon at any part of the webpage such as this one below.

This is called the Real Simple Syndication or RSS.

The website that contains this orange icon or RSS, offers its contents as an RSS stream. This means you can subscribe to the information like podcasts, articles, news, sports updates. All of these will be available on your home page whenever there is something new.

Here is an example of RSS feed from BBC.co.uk
