With these words, the Apostle Paul teaches us that each community of believers are recipients of God’s good gifts. Those gifts are given for the sake of the communityand the common good of that community. This directory of Grace Lutheran Churchand Christian School is to be used for the common good of this ministry. Each of usis to use the gifts God has given us for the sake of loving each other. That love canbe manifested in many ways, but it will be manifested. That is God’s will for us – tolove one another. By the grace of God in Christ, we celebrated 100 years together,and we look forward to all God has planned for us into the future. When to contact the Pastor or church office:

• There are health concerns. Whether it’s an upcoming doctor appointment that you’re anxious about, you are hospitalized for whatever reason, or you have an upcoming surgery, we would love to provide peace and comfort from God’s Word.

• There is a special prayer request. Whether it’s a confidential request, you simply want to share a burden, or you have a special person or situation in mind, we would love to pray with and for you.

• You are unable to attend church service for a certain period of time. Whether you’re traveling / going out of town, or unable to get out due to illness, injury, or recovery, let us know. We could connect you to a local congregation where you’re traveling or make plans to bring you the sacrament during recovery.

• You have a question or concern about something at church. Communication is key to avoid misunderstandings and deepen our bond together. We encourage questions and feedback from you. We will listen to you!

• You have a relationship that needs to move forward. Relationships can reach a point where they are stuck, whether this be a husband/wife, parent/child, boyfriend/girlfriend, brother/sister or just any friendship or member-to-member relationship. We’re here to support you, as God has created us for relationship and the need for reconciliation – big or small – is ongoing. Also consider “preventative maintenance” on any relationship. Don’t wait for an issue to crop up, take the time to build your current relationships! You’ll be glad you invested in them!

• Your conscience is troubling you and you want assurance of God's grace. Burdens weigh us down. Loneliness can be debilitating. Consider sharing your burden with a pastor and be blessed to walk with someone in your struggle. Individual confession and absolution can be a freeing experience when we hear God’s Word of forgiveness for us in Christ.

• You are facing a big decision. Considering a career change? What college to go to? Is this an obstacle to avoid or a challenge to persevere? Wondering about the future of a current relationship? Do you want to know how to help a friend? Seek godly counsel and wisdom. We could ask for guidance, consider questions, collaborate on possibilities, and share the joy of relationship and God’s faithfulness during a stressful period.

• You’re wrestling with something or have a question about something the Bible says. Questions often come up when you’re talking religion with coworkers and friends, reading/studying the Bible, or listening to a sermon. Your pastor loves to discuss God’s Word and wants to see you grow in your understanding of it.

• You know someone who wants to know more about Jesus. Your pastor would love to meet with him or her to share the hope that we have in Christ. You might need fortification in what the Bible teaches or how to share your faith or how to defend the faith. You might simply need to pray with a pastor for that someone.
