The Pteranodon (ter-AN-o-DON) lived at the time of the dinosaurs, but it was not a dinosaur. Pteranondon was a flying reptile. Although Pteranodon means “winged and toothless” Pteranodon was a carnivore (meat-eater) and probably ate fish. Pteranodon lived during the Cretaceous period.
