Who is OLAV and What’s Next?

Developing and Sustaining Education Programs

Current “Presenter Certification” Program

“Certification” Industry Standards

New regulations are making it too costly and labor intensive for our

modest resources

Materials Materials currently developed for Presenters are only seen by those

attending a presentation

Current Operation Lifesaver Presenters

OLI Presenters… Can continue to give traditional presentations using the current Presenter’s Guide until December 31, 2014

Can continue to use current and approved OLI charts/visuals and PowerPoint from the current Presenter’s Guides

Are encouraged to become Operation Lifesaver Authorized Volunteers so they can also use new materials

2014 Transition

OLAV is more like a Facilitator Credibility is from the learning materials, not the presenter alone Learners/audience are more engaged Shares accountability for learning with the audience

Presenter Addresses an audience that is mostly passive Possesses all of the content Credibility is derived from Presenter Is accountable for the learning
