•National Committee for the Combating of Looting and the Illicit Trafficking of Cultural Heritage, approved by the Ministerial Council

•Collection of information on networks and areas of looting and periodic raids in co-operation with the Cultural Heritage division of the Cyprus Police

•The DoA systematically follows the auction and sale of antiquities on the internet.

•Cultivating public awareness on illicit trafficking

•Digitisation of museum inventories

•Short training sessions involving police officers, customs officials and officers at points of entry (airports, ports etc.)
