Dengue is spread by the bite of an Aedes mosquito. T h e m o s q u i t o transmits the dis-ease by biting an infected person and then bit ing someone else.

The Infected1) Children  from  1-­10years  old.  

  Throughout  the  span  of  time,  from  January  to       August,  children  from  1  -­‐10years  old  has  con-­‐     stantly  been  the  one  with  the  highest  preva-­‐     lence  of  dengue.  This  is  due  to  the  children’s       still  weak  immune  system  coupled  with  their       inclination  to  explore  the  world,  even  playing       in  places  that  are  not  too  hygienic.

  Prevalence  of  dengue  among  women  have  of     ten  been  higher  throughout  the  different  age       groups,  except  for  the  age  1-­‐10  brackets.
