Instrument description

The Deltapilot S hydrostatic pressuretransmitter is specially designed forcontinuous level measurement in liquidsfor the food industry. Level, volume,differential pressure, product weight, anddensity can all be accurately and reliablydetermined with the Deltapilot S.Various features make the Deltapilot S theideal transmitter for the food industry,including:• A Contite measuring cell; water proof, continuous temperature compensation, reduced down time after SIP/CIP cleaning• Excellent linearity (better than 0.2% of measured value)• All common flush-mounted process connections, meets 3-A sanitary standards

Result

Customer uses FMB70 application for the tank level of sugar for tomato juice production. The temperature of the juice reaches 90°F in a vented tank. The FMB70 along with the Anderson Connection is a direct drop in replacement. The long connection used for jacketed tanks uses a 6” FMB70 with a universal connection, whereas the short connection uses standard length FMB70 with a universal connection. The FMB70 and adapter were installed because competitor could not deliver a replacement application soon enough, the Endress+Hauser application was shipped in 4 days.
