Exploring Color and Light

Impressionism, is a major movement in painting that mostly started in

France during the late 19th and early 20th centuries

Impressionism was a short period between 1867-1886. A group of artists shared a set of painting techniques and ideas.

Impressionism:

Accurately recorded reality using the changing effects of light and color

Landscape: art work about or of the land.Famous Impressionists: Claude Monet….

Post Impression: (Began after Impressionism)

A subject is not totally realistic and also expresses the emotional state

of the artist.

The movement began after Impressionism and began to include more of Europe.
