SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK
Saturdays immediately following the 4:30 pm Mass

chronic illness is invited to receive the sacrament.

December 4th: Christmas Carol & Cookies Party:
St. Timothy’s Ladies of Charity are sponsoring a
Christmas Carol & Cookies Party at Schofield Resi-
dence, 3333 Elmwood Ave., on Wednesday, Decem-
ber 4th at 6:30 pm. Thank all who donated the re-
quested items for the residents’ goody bags.
December 18th, 6:00 pm: Take down the giving tree.
2ND COLLECTION NEXT WEEK
The 2nd collection next week, December 8th during all
masses will be for the Retirement Fund for Religious.
Help those who have given a lifetime of ministry and
provide for the ongoing needs of aging members.
Please put your Immaculate Conception offering in the

There are hats and gloves on the tree; if you or anybody
you know are in need of hats or gloves please help

ST. LUKE’S MISSION OF MERCY
ANNUAL STOCKING RAFFLE
Tickets are $10 each, and will be available in St.
Martha’s Chapel this weekend through Today,
December 1st. The proceeds benefit St. Luke’s Education
Fund. Our Lady of Hope School was started when all
Catholic schools on the East Side were closed. There
was no convenient place to send young people to receive
an education well founded in Catholic morals and
principles. Thank you for your support, and good luck!
ADVENT LESSONS AND CAROLS
St. Timothy’s Choir will present a program of Advent
Lessons and Carols in preparation for Christmas on
Thursday, December 5th at 7:00 pm in St. Timothy
Church. This service is a wonderful opportunity to take
some time during this busy season to reflect on the
meaning of the birth of Jesus. All are welcome!

December 2nd (Monday): “Come and Set Us Free”,
an Advent Preparation Event hosted by St. Luke’s Mis-
sion of Mercy. The event begins with 7:00 pm Mass, fol-
lowed by a talk from 8:00 - 9:30 pm by Fr. Joe Freedy,
former UB starting quarterback and current priest for the
Diocese of Pittsburgh. St. Luke’s is located at 325 Wal-
den Ave., Buffalo. All are welcome!
December 7th (Saturday): “Looking at Advent Anew:
A way of life, not just a season”, a free mini-retreat at
St. Philip the Apostle (Msgr. Jasinski Center), 950 Losson
Rd., Cheektowaga. Registration and goodies start at 8:30
am; presentation by Sr. Lucette Kinecki, CSSF from 9:00
am - 12:00 noon. Reserve your space by TODAY, De-

December 7th (Saturday): 76th Annual Family
Christmas Fair from 12:00 - 6:00 pm at St. Aloysius
Gonzaga Parish Hall, 157 Cleveland Dr., Cheektowaga.
The Christmas Fair includes a Grand Prize Drawing, a
wide variety of prize booths (groceries, musical novelties,
toys for boys and girls, candy, and Christmas variety),
Theme Baskets, and cash prizes. Santa Claus will visit
with youngsters from 2:00 - 4:00 pm and the kitchen will
be serving a full menu of homemade food items. For

December 28th (Saturday) 10:00 am through Decem-
ber 30th (Monday) 6:00 pm: Camp Turner’s Winter-
Camp 2019. Boys (ages 7 - 13) and Girls (ages 7 - 15)
are invited to sign up for this 3 day overnight camp. An
optional round trip bus is available from Williamsville
and Hamburg. The cabins are toasty, the food is delicious
and our trained, vetted and experienced staff is excited to
make this a great experience for everyone. We have an

gram for Erie County, hosted by Catholic Charities. MST
is an intensive, family-focused intervention provided in
the youth’s natural environment, which are research-
