Title:Suspension of reimbursement for LASIK (Laser-Assisted in situ Keratomileusis) procedures

Key Points:

• PhilHealth has been reimbursing LASIK procedures to rehabilitate post-operative, surgicallyInduced astigmatism and/or anisometropia

General Guidelines:

Numerous consultations with the appropriate specialists in the field of opthalmology and medical societies and clinicians were done

•PhilHealth determined that the compensation of laser refractive procedures for post-operative complications is inappropriate

•This policy shall continue to undergo review based on the latest evidence and monitoring findings. Effectivity: Not yet published

Title:New Bayad Center Print-out Validation Key points:

• To comply with BIR requirements on Special Purpose Machines which Bayad Centers are currently using•Bayad Center has developed a new system which is known as Bayad Center Integrated Operation System or “BIOS”

General Guidelines

•Six (6) additional information details were included in the print-out validation namely: • Bayad Center outlet name• Bayad Center outlet address• Registered TIN of the outlet• BIR Permit No. of the outlet• SPM Permit No. (per terminal) • Transaction count (since it started)

BIOS system is only implemented in CIS Bayad Center owned outlets.
