The manager has the respon-sibility, authority and accountability for patient care administration and practice within the peri-operative area; for the development and maintenance of surgical services; for Same DaySurgery and scheduled OP Therapy; for the development of staff to exceed standards.Ensures interdepartmental quality controls and provides for departmental participation in per-formance improvement within the surgery department and hospital wide. Requirementsinclude: RN with valid nursing license and minimum of 5 years of experience in the peri-oper-ative area, including 3 years in a leadership position. Also requires strong customer serviceskills and ability to mentor and coach staff. Strongly prefer BSN and strong customer serviceskills. Must be able to demonstrate professional behaviors that will create a team focusedworking environment.
MEDICAL UNIT MANAGER - (Full time position.) Exempt/salaried. The manager has theresponsibility, authority and accountability for patient care administration and practice withinthe medical unit. RN Required and BSN strongly preferred. 2 or more years of supervisoryand/or management experience required. 3 or more years of hospital RN experience alsorequired. Candidate must poses good communication skills, problem solving skills, and beable to lead staff in a progressive and professional manner. Prior experience with CPOE andEMR strongly preferred.
PARAMEDIC SPECIALIST – (2 positions). Per diem/hourly. Must have EMT or Paramediccertification from the State of Iowa. Experience preferred. Must also be comfortable assistingin the ER department within their scope of practice.
PARAMEDIC SPECIALIST – full-time/hourly. Must have Paramedic certification from theState of Iowa. Experience preferred. Must also be comfortable assisting in the ER depart-ment within their scope of practice.
