David’s Three Mighty Men

Josheb-Basshebeth (Josh, or Adino) – killed 800 men in one encounter (v8)

Eleazar (Elli) – struck down Philistines till his hand froze to the sword (v10)

Shammah (Shammah) – defended Israel against the Philistines in a field of lentils (v12)

David’s Thirty Chief Men

Abishai (Abi, commander) – killed 300 men (v18)
