Today’s Speaker is: Mrs. Ashley Hutchison. She is the Coordinator of
Early Childhood Education/Parenting, Family Literacy for the Beaufort
County School District in Beaufort, South Carolina. She has a bache-
lor’s degree in Elementary Education, Brevard College and Master’s in
Education, USC. She started her career in education in North Carolina
and in 2008 moved to Beaufort to serve as the Parent Education
Coordinator. She currently supervises the district’s parent education
team and family literacy staff and supports the districts Pre-
Kindergarten program. In 2012, she began her work as the Coordinator
of Early Childhood Education/Parenting, Family Literacy. Ms. Hutchi-
son currently serves on Born to Read, Beaufort County Early Childhood
Coalition/School Readiness Workgroup, Sheldon Township, and First
Steps of Beaufort County
