What is DataViews?

1. A customizable tool to view your data.2. A graphing application that provides static

charts or a visual view of live data.3. A browser that allows free navigation

through your data (summarize, drill down, step back)

4. A report engine that allows for data export in a variety of formats (.pdf, .csv)

Why is DataViews Important?

• Allows for better management based on better more timely information.

• Saves valuable time by allowing unwanted information to be filtered out.

• Puts you in control of your data. You are not dependent on developers to write all the reports you need.

• Prepares you for the future. DataViews will be an integral part of future graphical ProfitMaster applications.

• DataViews supplements current ProfitMaster reporting because with DataViews you can:– Access data not available in current

reports– Customize reports as you view them

• Third party tools (such as Monarch) are limited in that:– You can only export data that can be

retrieved through a ProfitMaster report.– The steps to extract the data or combine

multiple reports can be cumbersome.– Data cannot be viewed real time.
