What is it?

• Bring a browser is a pilot scheme to enable you to bring your own mobile device into school (iPod Touch, iPhone, Android, Blackberry etc)

• Don’t worry if you don’t have a device – you’ll still have full access to resources

Lesson time:• Earphones away• Device on the desk, switched off on

silent (or in bag if not needed for that lesson)

• You are only to use the device as and when instructed by teacher

• Failure to use correctly, or if used when not given permission – you will be given a warning

• Same sanctions as for any other poor behaviour

• You can listen to music during individual activities at the teacher’s discretion. The music should not be able to be heard by anyone but you though!

• No music or device use during any test/controlled conditions work.

• You can check emails, listen to music, play games (with earphones in), send and receive texts

• No phone calls at any time• Your device should remain on silent or

vibrate mode only – no sound alerts• The same applies for the start and end

of the school day

therefore be monitoring and filtering your internet use during the school day

• No social network access from 8-5pm (Facebook, MySpace etc)

• We’d like to recruit students from each year group to work with teachers and other students with using mobile devices: speak to your tutor if you are interested
