Chhattisgarh is a young state but an ancient land, referred to as Dakshin Kosala. Born
out of 36 princely states, it is a place of marvelous temples and architectural wonders
that offers an eloquent diction to its rich cultural heritage. The harmonization of eastern
and western arts as a result of the British imperialism has added an articulation to the
rich ethnicity of Chhattisgarh.
The economy of the state has rapidly grown in the last five years, recording an average

RAGGING of students, physically or mentally, is a cognisable offence.
The students who have to face ragging can lose their mental stability
and in turn affect their life negatively. All the students are requested not
to commit such an inhuman act of cruelty and eradicate this evil from the
society completely.
If any student is found involved in committing or staging such an offence,
then matters will be handled with much gravity. The student may be
expelled and if required be handed over to the Police.
Currently the hostel block houses more than 150 students. All hostels comprise of a
main office, a security room and a guest house. The st udents are provided with basic
amenities like a cot, table, chairs and a cupboard in their respective rooms. CVRU

encourage students to stay fit by regularly playing cricket, hockey, volley ball, football,
basketball, tennis or take a s imple refreshing run along the tracks.
We also run a fleet of busses to help students and staff members commute to and frofrom regions around the city. Parents are urged to convince their wards to travel in the
college busses only, in view of safety issues on the highway.

Dress Rehearsal to the Final Call
For many years, the North Star has been used as a
navigation aid and to chart maps. Career counseling is a
gradual process where we assess your interests,
personality, values and skills and help you to explore
various career options, much like charting the different
directions your life can take.
The primary purpose of career counseling is to help you
learn how to explore and investigate potential majors and
occupations. Interest inventories and career tests can go
a long way in telling you what you could or should do.
Your counselor will review the results with you and show
you how to explore and investigate those occupations
