DEFINING “MISSIONARY”

• A Deep knowledge of God's Word.• A Detailed understanding of Who

God is, and who we are in Him.• A Distinct affection and love

toward God and one another.

• Knowing God’s Word–Paul desired to know Christ deeply • All sound relationships have a fixed time for communion

–Cultivating intimacy means seeking after God

• Understanding God’s Character– Intimacy is knowledge of “who”

someone “is”• God wants you to know Him intimately

–Knowing God’s character brings confidence • In Christ we are one with the Father

• Obedience Reveals Intimacy– Intimacy produces affection• Some serve God selfishly• “Christianity” is vain without obedience

–Affection produces obedience• Perfection is achieved through obedience• Obedience over sacrifice
