Partition - provides routing organization for extensions and route patternsCalling Search Space - comprised of route patterns, used to determine target partition when completing a callSIP Trunk Security Profile - template for quickly configuring advanced settings for all associated sip trunksSIP Trunk - used to establish connectivity route to endpoint or gateway for SIP communicationsTranslation Pattern - used for digit manipulation before routing a callRoute Pattern - matches translated dial strings to a route list or gatewayX-Lite Client - free SIP soft phone used for placing/receiving VoIP calls

Hardware Requirements

Cisco Unified Communications Manager will only install on the following server hardware solutions:

HP Server SolutionsIBM Server Solutions

However, you can install Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.0 in a VMware virtual machine configured with an 80 gigabyte SCSI virtual hard disk.

Please Note

The following documentation illustrates the generalsteps necessary to configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager 6.0.1 for use with either Office Communications Server 2007 R2 or Exchange 2007 Unified Messaging. CUCM This documentation does not contain instructions for configuring OCS 2007 R2 or UM to accept inbound calls from Cisco Unified Communications Manager.
