► BIJ – Bharat India Jodo is one of the major initiatives taken by RF ► Aim :bridging the rural – urban divide and supporting thousands of

Moti Khavdi village in the vicinity of Jamnagar Complex
Roadmap
Healthcare:
► Recently, RIL undertook an ambitious Project ‘WISH’ (Work life Improvement for Safety and Health) to focus on emotional health of its employees as a part of Resilience Management.
► Expansion of Primary Health Centre Operations in rural areas► Revamping of ‘Sir HN Reliance Foundation Hospital and Research
Centre’ and creating world-class tertiary care hospital
Raodmap
Promotion and protection of India’s Art, Culture and Heritage
► RF has initiated Indian Textile Day at the Lakme Fashion Week► Aim:To highlight textile traditions and heritage that might be little
known and undiscovered.
Urban Renewal
► Goda park project is one of the recent initiatives by the foundation
Environmental sustainability
► New projects are carefully scrutinized and necessary environmental considerations and standards are incorporated.
► The foundation is promoting soil and water conservation measures.► Monitors and sensors are installed in manufacturing units to keep a
check on air pollutants ► Thousands of saplings are planted every year on individual and
common lands to promote biodiversity.
Critique
► The company is doing great work by taking all the aforementioned initiatives to make sure the country experiences a sustainable growth. Not only it is carrying on with the existing activities but every year RIL through RF comes up with more CSR initiatives
► As we were working on this project, we noticed that the reach of the foundation is restricted to only few states
► The company should reach to the northern and eastern parts of the country and help people of these areas overcome their difficulties and miseries. Source: http://www.reliancefoundation.org
