Hyperlinks

Hyperlinks are clickable text on your web page that, when clicked, take you to another page

The hyperlink can be to a different website or just another web page on your site

In Word, if you type a web site address starting with http:// , Word will automatically turn it into a hyperlink for you

http://biochem.senecac.on.ca Reference: Integration A2 – A3

CPG 433 27

Hyperlinks

Rather than having a web site address (URL) in your document, you might want to have clickable text

E.g. Click here to visit the Bio/Chem website Type the text you want to have a link, select it,

then click on the hyperlink button (or right click and select hyperlink)

Type in your URL (starting with http:// ) or file name (for another page on your site) where it asks for Web Page name

CPG 433 28

E-mail Links

You can create a hyperlink that, when clicked, allows a person viewing your web page to send you e-mail

Use the hyperlink button, and click on E-mail address (in the left hand panel)

Type in the e-mail address in the appropriate box
