University Requirements

• Most universities calculate an admission average based on English and four other courses.

• Each university may have slightly different requirements for similar course programs.

• The other four courses may be specified for particular programs; whereas, for many programs there is more flexibility.

Application to US Universities

• Most US schools expect students to produce either an ACT or SAT result.

• Selective schools will want to know that a student is completing the most rigourous program available at their high school.

• Students will need to write essays, obtain reference letters, and support their applications through evidence of extra-curricular excellence.
