Course Selection at Hempfield High School

How does course selection work?

Students consult core subject teachers for recommendations of the next appropriate level (Jan-Feb)

Counselor Flex presentations (Feb 22, 23, 24) & counselors are in the commons during all flex periods to assist students with questions

Students enter their requests in their Sapphire Student Portal (Feb 24- March 1)

Pink Verification Forms sent home for review 3/13

Return Verification Forms to counselors to make any adjustments 3/15

Requests are tallied, course sections are created based on student request (it helps to have accurate numbers)
