Fair Regulations
Hall Exhibits:
• Membership Fee and Entry Fee will NOT be charged to exhibitors 12 years
and under.
• Membership Fee($5.00) is a once/year fee required for all entrants (Nov
01, 2018- Oct 31, 2019) except for children 1-12 yrs old.
• Entry Forms to be completed with exhibit drop-off Friday Sept 6, 2019 at
Senior’s Centre in Delisle SK.
• All exhibits are to be registered Friday evening and entry fee paid.
• No exhibit will necessarily be awarded a prize unless deemed worthy by
the judge (unless otherwise specified, judges may adjust prizes)
• Prize Money awarded Saturday 4-5 pm

• No charge for school work entries - Classes 10-19 or classes listed
with age of less than or equal to 12 years old.
• All children exhibitors 12 yrs and under will be exempt from the
membership fee

Friday September 6, 2019 5 – 8 pm
• 8-12 am judging of the exhibits, we will open for viewing once
judging is completed.
• approx. 12 noon to 4 pm viewing of all exhibits
• 4-5 pm pick up exhibits and prize money
• Thank you for entering and see you next year.

exhibitor number prior to Sept 5, 2019
• fill out tags for all of your entries , tags include class number ,
section number, description of entry and exhibitor number in
the top part of the tag. On the bottom half of the tag is your
name and phone number as a minimum.
• Fold tag on fold line to cover name and phone number and at-
tach tag to entry.
• drop off tagged entries at the Delisle Senior Centre between the
hours of 5-8 pm
• ONLY horticulture and baking can be brought to the hall on Sat-
urday morning for judging between 7-8 am, all other exhibits are
brought to hall on Friday evening.

Roots, Vegetables and Fruits - Tips for Exhibiting
Beets—Medium sized roots, deep red colour throughout. They should be
free from white rings. Uniformity in the group is important. Tops should be
removed 1/2 inch above the crown.
Cabbage– Heads should be solid, free from insect damage and cracks
and not stripped.
Carrots— uniform, clean (not scrubbed), free from sunburn, discolouration
and side roots. Tops removed 1/2 inch above crown
Cauliflower— Leaves should be cut off level with the top of head. The curd
should be white and compact. Remove small leaves.
Corn– should be uniform in size and shown in the husk
Onions— Medium sized with matured bulbs. Roots and tops should be
trimmed down to 1/2 inch but not peeled ( green onions exempt)
Parsnips—Trim of side roots and tops to 1/2 inch above crown.
Potatoes—Extra-large potatoes frequently have hollow hearts. Medium-
sized, uniform tubers free from disease and insect damage and with shal-
low eyes are more desired.
Rhubarb—Stalks uniform. The leaf blade should be trimmed to leave
about one inch in a fam shape. The stalk is left intact as pulled from plant
except any loose tissue at base should be trimmed. Cut to 12-15 inch
length.
Tomatoes—All tomatoes should be shown with stems on. Uniformity is im-
portant.
Turnips—Trim of side roots and tops to 1/2 inch above crown.
Zucchini—Should be 12 inches or under
