All Contractors are required to complete the DIT E-Learning Programme before commencing works on site.

Contractors can complete this in advance or they can complete this on arrival at designated DIT Porter’s Desks.

The process takes 10-15 minutes.

The programme provides Contractors with a general overview of Safety Procedures and arrangements at DIT.

Contractors can login to the E-Learning Programme through the DIT webpage.

Each individual will be given a username and password.

Username: firstname.surname e.g. terry.maher

Password: company name e.g. burlington, shelbourne

To get employees registered for the E-Learning programme, contact you’re DIT Supervisor with a list of names.

You’re DIT Supervisor will enrol the users and confirm the usernames and passwords.

On completion of the E-Learning programme, an ID Badge will be automatically generated.

These will be printed at the Porters desk.

Contractors are required to wear these at all times while on DIT premises.

Contractors should retain and reuse their ID Badges.

Within reason, replacement badges will be issued, provided the individual’s training is valid.

The E-Learning and the ID Badge are valid for 2 years.

Contractor Safety Information

The aims of the Contractors Safety Guide are;

To provide information to Contractors about known hazards, risks and restrictions so that Contractors can plan their works accordingly.

To set out in clear terms, the safety standards that are required from Contractors working on behalf of DIT.

To provide practical guidance to Contractors on how to meet the Safety Standards set out in this Guide.

Contractor Induction and Sign In.

Emergency Procedures.

Method Statements and Safe Systems of Work.

Site specific hazards and site restrictions.

Plant, Machinery, Equipment and PPE.

Site setup and security.

ws Performance Reviews

The DIT Buildings Office are developing a Performance Review Template which will be completed following each project.

H&S compliance will form part of the reviews.

Performance reviews may form part of the scoring criteria for future projects. (Further details to follow)

Performance reviews may also be taken into account when Frame-works are being renewed and when Maintenance Contracts are being tendered.
