On the occasion of the National Day of the Republic of Poland, the 224th anniversary of the May the 3rd Constitution 1791, the first in Europe and the second in the world modern constitution, a reception was given by Ambassador of Poland in Albania Marek Jeziorski.

High representatives of Albania’s authorities with Chairman of the Assembly Ilir Meta, Minister of Defence Mimi Kodheli, Minister of European Integration Klajda Gjosha and Minister of Culture Mirela Kumbaro were present. Members of the parliament, heads of important parliamentary commissions Arta Dade, Majlinda Bregu, Valentina Leskaj and Genc Pollo, representatives of the government institutions, president’s chancellery, armed forces, public institutions and capital’s authorities, high ranking officials of the MFA and other ministries, religious representatives, among them

Archbishop of Tirana and Durres Rrok Mirdita, and heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Tirana participated in it. Among guests there also were representatives of opinion making circles, culture, science, media, Albanian graduates of Polish universities, members of societies of Albanian-Polish Friendship and of Frederic Chopin, Poles living and working in Albania. Numerous friends of Poland, Albanian citizens having close contacts with our country and the authorities’ representatives developing cooperation with Poland dominated the reception.
