Computer Assignment

Step 1: Begin by dropping three points on the sketch. Label these as A, B, and C.

Step 2: Construct the line segments needed to connect these points together.

Step 3: Select the points A, B, and C ( in this order). Construct the angular bisector by going tothe construction menu and selecting the angular bisector option.

Step 4: Repeat steps 3 for the point B, C , and A ( in this order ).

Step 5: Repeat steps 3 for the points C, A and B ( in this order ).

Amazing! You should see something of interest. More magic I give to you!

Step 6: Select any of the two lines that were constructed in steps 3 through 5. Construct a pointat intersection.

Step 7: Select the point atintersection made in step 6 andone of the original threesegments and construct aperpendicular line.

Step 8: Select the line and thesegment it intersects in aperpendicular fashion andconstruct a point at intersection.

Step 9: Hide the line you madein step 7.

Step 10: select the point you made in step 6 and the point in step 8 ( in this order ) and constructa circle by center and point.

This special point made in step 6 has a special property. This point is known as the Incenter. Any idea why?
