GENERAL

The gabion construction system BLOCK-SK® is a wire structure made by the company Compag SK, Ltd, suitable for the construction and rehabilitation of mainly road, railroad as well as water structures.

STANDARDS QUALITY AND CERTIFICATES:State Testing Laboratory SKTC-105 at TSÚS Bratislava issued certificate No. O/05080/105/98 on the product “Construction system BLOCK-SK®”.

REQUIREMENTS WITH RESPECT TO IMPLEMENTATIONSubbase: BLOCK-SK® structures may be founded on gravel fill at freezing level. The foundation trench may have a slope of up to 8% in the longitudinal direction. In designing oblique walls, the slope of the foundation trench in the transversal direction is 1:10 towards the earth body, with the wall slope being 10:1.Filling: It is crucial to adhere to the implementation project and the technological process contained therein, in particular concerning the exact joining of the mesh and gradual filling in layers about 30 cm thick, including the compacted back fill. Plants: When completed, plants with horizontal root system are suitably planted in the structure. Most appropriate are local species.

BUSINESS CONDITIONSOrders:A model transversal section of the object, site plan and the address of the planned construction have to be attached to any order.Packing: The material is supplied on palettes. Mesh are packed 10 pcs, spirals and stirrups 50 pcs per package.Storage: The material must be stored on palettes, best in roofed and well ventillated warehouses.Transportation: At request, Compag, spol.s r.o. shall supply the materials directly to the site.

DESIGN, COUNSELLING SERVICES:Compag SK, Ltd offers the developmet of the implementation project, calculations of the necessary amounts of materials, surveillance by professionals, and consultations and/or training of designers and contractor´s staff on the site.
