These are colors that cannot be created through the mixing of other colors.

• Normally there are two types of primary color, they are RGB and RYB.

• In this color wheel project, the primary color will be Red, Green and Blue. (RGB)

Secondary Color

“are formed when two primary colors are blended together.”

When you mix red and green together, they creates the color yellow. Red and blue create pink. Blue and green create cyan.

• Complementary Definition:

Colors that are opposite each other on the color wheel are considered to be complementary colors

• In this color wheel complementary colors

Red and Cyan.

Blue and yellow.

• Monochromatic colors are “all the colors (tints, tones, and shades) of a single hue.”

• Monochromatic color schemes “are derived from a single base hue, and extended using its shades, tones and tints (that is, a hue modified by the addition of black, gray (black + white) and white.”

“Analogous color schemes use colors that are next to each other on the color wheel. They usually match well and create serene and comfortable designs.”

“Analogous color schemes are often found in nature and are harmonious and pleasing to the eye.”

EX: In this picture Cyan, Turquoise and ocean are Analogous color.

• Warm colors are “made with orange, red, yellow and combinations of them all. As the name indicates, they tend to make you think of sunlight and heat.”

• Cool colors such as “ blue, green and light purple have the ability to calm and soothe. Where warm colors remind us of heat and sunshine, cool colors remind us of water and sky.”
