Offering that little je ne sais quoi, the Bouclana collection is inspired by classic, summery windowpanes, stripes and textured semi-plains. The all-time classics have been elegantly invigorated with Bouclé fancies, creating a contemporary yet sophisticated look for the more fashion-conscious client.

Bouclé – from the French language meaning ‘curled’, is a fancy yarn that is looped during spinning. When woven the looped effect lies delicately on the surface of the fabric, creating an intricate, textured, decorative effect that surpasses all others.

The Bouclana name derives from the French word bouclé and the Latin word for wool, lana.

A world first and exclusive to Holland & Sherry, our Monadh fabrics are sourced from a unique flock of sheep bred and raised in the Scottish highlands.

Monadh, Gaelic for ‘moorland’ describes any land that is not actively farmed or forested, and incorporates many types of habitat, such as grassland and heather, moorland or heath. Much of Scotland is covered by moorland, especially in the highlands and islands where these areas are designated as Special Areas of Conservation.

Monadh is outstanding in many ways. The Monadh sheep are bred and shorn in the highlands of Scotland. This results in a cloth with truly unique characteristics. Having overcome the Scottish climatic conditions of rain, wind and snow, the animals grow strong and healthy to produce the superb merino wool that is used to weave the Monadh cloth. The distinctive fleece is individual to these special animals, with a softness and lustre that is truly exceptional. Monadh merino wool is a premium fibre in limited supply from the Monadh merino flock as only one lamb per season is bred from each ewe. Holland & Sherry proudly offers Monadh wool, shorn from Scottish merino sheep, blended with the world’s finest Mulberry silk.

Crystal Springs luxury jacketings for Spring/Summer 2020 is an updated collection of windowpane and mock glen plaid designs in a range of attractive colours, including fashionable, contemporary tones as well as the familiar classics.

Woven from a plain weave or twill construction in compositions of Super 130’s wool worsted merino or wool/silk/linen blends, we are certain that this comprehensive collection will suit all tastes.

Cloths woven from the Super 130’s merino wool yarn and constructed in a 2/2 twill have a luxurious, soft handle, with good drape and strength qualities. These cloths have good crease recovery properties due to the natural crimp of the wool fibre. The crimp provides natural elasticity, making it comfortable to wear and easy to tailor.

The wool/silk/linen blends offer a more relaxed appearance and have a crisp, textured handle. Both linen and silk are extremely durable, hold their shape well and provide a garment with depth and inherent natural beauty.
