JH/HS Band and Choir Concert Next Thursday
Bye Marie
At 1 p.m. on December 6, the Graceville Women’s
Organization is having Santa Days for the kids at Grace Vil-
lage. This is GWO’s way of giving back to the community. The kids can
visit with Santa and have a fun time with crafts and other activities! The
student council and NHS will be helping with crafts and play-
ing with the kids to make their day even better!
The GWO has been doing this for a long time and
they still continue to keep it going. The kids love this activity and love it
when the student council and NHS come to visit with them, also.

The choir and band students have been working hard to perfect their songs for this year’s
concert. The JH and HS holiday concert will be on December 11 at 7:30. It will include the junior
high, senior high and jazz bands directed by Mr. Sollie. It will also include the junior high, senior
high and show choir directed by Mrs. Ragan.
Carol of the Bells, Emeralde Isle, and Coast Guards March are a few of
the songs being played by the high school band. The show choir will be performing the
songs Snow Wonder, Angels in Snow and Should Have Been a North Pole Elf. The jun-
ior high choir songs include Bethlehem Boy, Merry Christmas, Christmas Carol Medley and Voice From A Dream. The senior high choir will be singing Winter Wonderland,
Over the River, Sing We Now Of Christmas, Ahrirong a Korean folk song and a take off
of a well-known song, Angels We Have Heard On High.

will all miss.
Marie loves her job and has done it for a long time but she has
decided that it is time for her to retire. Those of you who would like to
thank Marie personally can do so by sending her a card. She would
appreciate those special memories very much!

Katie’s Favorite Athlete: Margo Gilsdorf
Margo Jane Gilsdorf is in 9th grade and she enjoys
playing softball and volleyball. In volleyball she is a middle hit-
ter. She is the third baseman and pitcher in softball. She was
limited in volleyball this year because of her shoulder and it
may affect her softball playing, but hopefully not!
Her birthday is January 7 and she will turn 15 then! She lives on a farm
near Collis. Her parents are Scott and Lori Gilsdorf. She has an awesome black
lab, named Ransom. She has two sisters, Gina and Lacey, and she loves spending
time with them. She likes to crack jokes and be sarcastic.
Fun facts about Margo: She loves Pretty Little Liars, chicken chow mein
and cheering on her team! Whoo!

The boys Basketball team is off to a solid fourth week of practice of the season! We are expecting very
big things from our players this season coach Cal says! He also said he cannot wait until today when we take
on the Hancock Owls on our home floor! Their next game is Tuesday against Hillcrest at home. We have
five seniors on the squad this season with a total of 18 players in grades 9-12. Good luck to the boys on the
season and make sure they get some heavy duty fan support at our home opener game tonight!
Kyle and the hockey team, the MBA Storm lost their first game last week and they had a
game on Tuesday, December 2, in Morris, which they also lost, but it’s all uphill from here! We
wish you the best of luck in your next two games against River Lake and Red Lake Falls! The
wrestlers have also been practicing very hard the last three weeks. Their first meet is in Wahpe-
ton with a two day tourney on the December 5 and 6.

Secret of The Tomb
Jokes and Riddles
Black-Ish By: Gina Gilsdorf Black-ish is a fantastic show, according to
Mrs. Jibben. It’s on Wednesday nights at 8:30.
The dad, Dre Johnson has pretty much
everything a guy could ask for: a closet full of J’s,
nice vehicles and a massive house in a classy white
neighborhood. There is one concern, though. His
success as an advertising executive married to a
physician, who together have four pretty normal
kids makes him wonder if his lifestyle is “too
white,” so he struggles to “keep it real” in every
hilarious episode.
Dre’s father, played by
Laurence Fishburne (Doctor
Larabee from Akeelah and the Bee) is also on his case to get
more in touch with his cultural
identity.
Considered by critics
to be one of the best shows
this season, you can catch back

Have you ever seen the movie Night At The Museum starring Ben Stiller (Larry)? How
about Night At The Museum: Battle of The Smith-sonian? Both are great movies! Be sure to check
out the new upcoming movie Night At The Muse-um: Secret of The Tomb! In this wild adventurous movie, Larry spans
the globe, uniting favorite and new characters in
another exciting quest to save
the magic before it is gone
forever.
The ancient mystical
tablet that brought the Muse-
um to life is running out of
magic and all of the characters
we’ve grown to love are going
to disappear. Again Larry is
trying to save the day in just
one night at the museum.
