Dear Parent
This New Year brought a fresh start and a sense of pride to Mount Abu Family as it gave
the opportunity to follow much cherished dream. 150 vibrant students from the school gave
a mesmerizing dance performance in the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath. The children
set a benchmark by creating a holy environment to evolve the senses and allowed everyone
to realize the omnipresence of the Almighty.
The success of the school has always been a result of the students’ achievements and the
teachers’ hard work in making the impossible possible. The collective effort of the
management, teachers and the students portrayed through the pages of this newsletter is
testimony to all the glories attained so far. The young achievers are sure to be a source of
inspiration to all the students and we are really pleased to present yet another edition of
newsletter.

From Ordinary to Extraordinary
“Once excellence is experienced, one will then
never be content with mediocrity” Mallika Anand of class XI is one of those meritorious
students whose mettle as a student is emblazoned
with acclaim. She has recently bagged “Student of
the Year Award” by NIE, Times of India. She has
been awarded with a certificate, a trophy and a gift
voucher worth Rs 1000/- for her academic
proficiency and extraordinary skills in co-curricular
activities.
They dream their painting, and then they paint their dream
The school feels delighted to share the conquest of MAPIANS. The artist gave vent to
their emotion through their artistic skills and what is more their hard work became a
triumph for them. MAPIANS were felicitated in Annual Space Art Contest held at Nehru
Planetarium on 13th February 2017 in which Anushka Rai of class X won the first prize,
Prasidh Awasthy of class lll won second position, Hardik Rana also of class lll won the
third position and last but not the least Ayushmita Sen of class ll won the consolation
prize, and added colours of joy to the event. What was even more remarkable, the
school won the Institutional Trophy too.
International Award under School Enterprise Challenge UK-based charity Teach a Man to Fish has announced the school as a Buddy Initiative Prize
Winner of the School Enterprise Challenge 2016.
In 2016, more than 5,000 schools from over 100 countries took part in the School Enterprise
Challenge and Mount Abu Public School, Sector -5, Rohini was chosen as the winner of
Buddy Initiative Prize by the expert panel of international Judges. This Programme offers a
platform for providing hands-on reinvent education to students, at the same time generating
extra income for the school. The accomplishment is the recognition of the mentor school, Mount
Abu Public School, Sector -5, Rohini exceptional relationship formed with its mentee school-
Spring Days School in developing business and practical skills among the young learners. The
School, is leading the way in India with an innovative and sustainable school business that has
not only positively impacted their students but also the wider community.
Genius in Aptitude

Hrishabh Sehrawat of Class X was adjudged as the
“Winner of the School” out of 137 students
qualifying for the second round of “Think & Learn
Challenge” conducted by NIE, Times of India on
12th Feb 2017 at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. It
has been rightly said that “The first step towards
change is awareness and the second step is
acceptance. Hrishabh proved his extraordinary
skills in General awareness and Arithmetic and
was awarded with an i-ball Slide Tab and a
Certificate.

Saksham Quiz
“Wisdom tends to grow in proportion to one’s awareness of one’s ignorance” Hrishabh Sehrawat and Gautam Sharma achieved yet another milestone by representing Delhi
in the North Zone in ‘Saksham Quiz 2017’ on 17th February 2017 in association with
Doordarshan organized by PCRA to be telecasted by Doordarshan on 2nd April 2017 at 10:00
am. The journey of the duo in qualifying the School, District, State and then Zonal Level opened
for them series of opportunities ahead.
I-smart session
“Talent is something one is born with and skills are something one develops” I-Smart session organized by QEA India on 21st February ’17 made the students acknowledge
their life skills. It was a session where not only students but involvement of the teachers added
the colours of joy to the ambience and all together, the teachers and the students explored
new and adventurous things. The students were able to learn values of leadership, teamwork
and rejuvenated themselves. Innovative methods of teaching have always been a tool to help
students realize and foster their capabilities. The enthusiastic participation of MAPS fraternity
and the students who have knack of learning new things made the day memorable.
Appreciation day
“A victory is not a victory unless it is appreciated by mentors and guides”
To achieve this aim, the school had fixed up 25th February as the assembly day to be held as
Appreciation Assembly to award the achievers in the presence of their parents to appreciate
their efforts and to support the school’s efforts to raise the level of the students and accomplish
its goals. To add joy to this victorious moment, parents were also invited to be a part of the
same. The assembly began with offering prayers to the almighty, followed by a welcome song.
The achievers were awarded the certificates, medals and trophies for various competitions
held at different levels. The Awarded students were cheered and blessed by their parents. Not
only was it a moment of pride for the achievers and their parents but also inspired every learner
who witnessed the event to put in best of the efforts to soar and achieve heights of success.
The event culminated with the vote of thanks to the proud parents for their valuable presence.

Iyer and Tushar Rai won the 1st Prize at National
Level Movie Making Competition organized by Help
Age India Foundation. The mega event witnessed
the participation of thousands of school children
across length & breadth of the country. The video
presented by the students is a reflection that the
country’s new generation acknowledges the
concerns and problems of the elderly. They were
felicitated with a Trophy, Certificate and a Cash
Prize of Rs. 5000 for their exclusive creativity in
making a movie on the topic ‘Me at 64’.
