GOV. ABBOTT PROCLAMATION

On July 27th, Governor Abbott issued a Proclamation extending the early voting period for the November 3rd Election by nearly a week

Under this proclamation, early voting by personal appearance will begin on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 and continue through Friday, October 30, 2020 City Hall will host early and election day voting for Dallas County Currently finalizing logistics related to queuing, sanitation, etc. with Dallas County

The proclamation also expands the period in which marked mail-in ballots may be delivered in person to the early voting clerk’s office, allowing such delivery prior to as well as on Election Day

Fall 2020 will begin August 17 ~80% of courses will be online/remote ~20% will be traditional or blended/flexible Last day of classes is November 25 Finals will occur December 2 – 8 online or

take home Students will not be required to return to

ASSISTANCE FOR RICHARDSON RESIDENTS

1. Collin County Housing & Living Assistance Program Overview – No change since last update

2. Dallas County Emergency Housing Assistance Program – No change since last update

3. Dallas County Health and Human Services (DCHHS) Emergency Housing Assistance Program Short-term rental, mortgage, and utility assistance to low income Dallas County residents living

outside of the City of Dallas Maximum amount of $1,500 per month, for up to 3 months

Applications will be processed through a lottery system DCHHS will close the pre-screening application process August 20, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. DCHHS will also accept pre-screening applications by phone at (214) 819-1968, Monday-Thursday,

9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

ASSISTANCE FOR RICHARDSON BUSINESSES

1. Dallas County Business Assistance Program – No change since last update

2. Collin County Business Assistance Program City of Richardson working with National Development Council to offer emergency assistance to

businesses located in the Richardson portion of Collin County The program is administered through a partnership with the NDC, which is also administering a

similar program through Dallas County for Richardson businesses located in Dallas County Businesses 100 employees or less and under $10 million in revenue may be eligible for a forgivable

loan of up to $50,000 Business must demonstrate at least a 25% reduction in income as a result of the COVID-19 virus The pre-application period will open Aug. 1 and close Aug. 16 NDC will conduct a randomized borrower selection process after the pre-application period closes
