• The evolution of the number of import interceptions in the last three years

demonstrate that the measures remain necessary for the protection of the

Union territory from the specified organism and in order to allow for the

appropriate time for its review

• To ensure the specified fruits originating in Brazil are free from the specified

organism, they should be subject to the same import inspection requirements

as the fruits originating in Argentina, South Africa and Uruguay.

• The date of expiration of Decision (EU) 2016/715 should be postponed from

31 March 2019 to 31 March 2022.

Late Valencia's 30+7 days (possibly August 2019 depending on the perceived risk)

90 days re-inspections for lemons

VALENCIA ORCHARDS PACKED IN OCTOBER 2018:

Should be withdrawn from export to the EU in 2019

EXPORT OF LEMON SAMPLES BY AIRFREIGHT FOR MARKETING/ TESTING:

Procedure for lemons and limes

FCM affected citrus types will not be accommodated until further notice

Seals will be provided by DAFF

Growers should buy sample bags, ethephon and Guazatine/ Propicure/ Propirly

Storage facilities should be registered through PPECB
