The Minnesota Environmental Fund (MEF) protects, conserves and restores Minnesota’s environment
statewide by supporting leading nonprofit environmental and conservation organizations.

hands-on outing stenciling “Drains to Our River” • $5 presents a community Watershed Workshop
to help protect the Mississippi River• $50 informs more than 200 people about
how to protect themselves at home from toxic chemicals
Healthy Food and Living Sustainably• $3 provides free Community Supported
Agriculture guides for healthy, local food• $10 convenes sustainability professionals to
identify ways to reduce waste effectively• $50 helps a beginning farmer learn on-farm
practices and sustainable management
Preserving Natural Places and Wildlife• $1 purchases five native tree saplings to restore
floodplain forests along the Mississippi River• $3 supports one week of bird satellite tracking

curriculum materials to a teacher• $10 allows a low-income student to camp for a

options by providing technical advice• $5 pays to plant a six-to-ten foot tree at a
community tree planting• $20 helps install pollution control equipment on
school buses and heavy-duty trucks
Getting Outdoors• $2 provides a life jacket for a person to
experience canoeing for the first time• $10 provides a scholarship for a five-day
Boundary Waters canoe trip• $50 helps complete a vital biking trail connection
along the Cannon River
