We are proud to dedicate the Chihuahua Club of Canada’s Specialty to Brenda.
Brenda had more than 50 years’ of experience owning, breeding, and judging show dogs,
particularly Chihuahuas. She judged in the UK and abroad.
She was a great humanitarian in her rescue efforts along side her husband Michael.
She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Judge Change Notice The scheduled judge, Mrs Teresa Gallo, is unable to attend due to injury. Mrs Jacqueline Rusby (Montreal, QC) has accepted her assignment in full.
Exhibitors affected by this change may withdraw their entries up to one (1) hour before the judging of the breed, notice of withdrawal must be made in writing. All entry and listing fees for withdrawn dogs shall be refunded. An exhibitor may enter a dog under the replacement judge providing that the dog is entered in one (1) of the regular classes of a show being held at the same venue by the same club and has been assigned a competition number. A new entry, along with accompanying fees, will be accepted by the Show Secretary up to one (1) hour prior to the start of the show.

12.2 Classes 12.2.1 Regular official classes at a CKC conformation show shall be as described in (a) to (k) of this section. All classes must be divided by sex (except for Specials Only). Only dogs entered in one of the regular, non-regular, or unofficial classes shall be allowed within the show precincts. (a) Junior Puppy Class Dogs 6 months of age and under 9 months of age on the day of the show. (b) Senior Puppy Class Dogs 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show. (c) 12-18 Month Class (All-Breed Shows) Dogs 12 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show. (d) 12-18 Month Class (Specialty Shows) Dogs 12 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show.The Club has the option to split this class as follows: (i) 12-15 Month Class (Specialty Shows only) Dogs 12 months of age and under 15 months of age on the day of the show.
(ii) 15-18 Month Class (Specialty Shows only) Dogs 15 months of age and under 18 months of age on the day of the show.
(e) Canadian Bred Class Dogs born in Canada. Champions of any country are excluded. (f) Bred By Exhibitor Class Dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder. The handler must be the owner/co-owner and breeder/co-breeder of the dog.The owner/ breeder must handle the dog in this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. Should the owner/breeder be unable to handle the dog in this class, the dog may be moved to the Open Class (at least one hour prior to the judging of the breed in question. (g) The Open Class All dogs. Dogs may be divided by colour if permission of the CKC is obtained. (j) Specials Only (i) Dogs which have a recorded CKC registration, Event Registration Number (ERN) or Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) and have attained the required points for Championship status. All awards earned at the show will be cancelled if it is found that a dog is not registered or has not completed the requirements for a CKC Championship. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy if eligible. After awarding Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best of Winners in each breed, the judge may choose a Select Dog and Select Bitch if there are dogs in the ring eligible for these awards. The Select Dog and Bitch must be awarded in the Specials Only class. The dog and bitch selected must be champions and cannot be the Best of Breed or Best of Opposite Sex Winners. (ii) A dog entered in Specials Only shall be identified by gender in the judge’s book and if incorrectly entered and substantiated by the show secretary or superintendent, shall be excused from the ring by the judge. Miniature Dachshund – Foreign Born If still under one year of age, a foreign-born Miniature Dachshund is eligible to enter the Specials Only class after completing the requirement for a CKC championship provided the application for registration is received by the CKC within 30 days of the dog reaching one year of age. Failure to do so will result in automatic cancellation of all points on record.

12.6 Non-Regular Classes 12.6.1 The non-regular classes allowed at a CKC conformation show shall be as described in this section. If offered, these classes must be included in the premium list. A dog entered in the Brace or Team class that is spayed/neutered must be entered in an Altered Class or in Exhibition Only. (a) Baby Puppy Class Dogs 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of the show. The award for this class are: Best Baby Male and Best Baby Female Best Baby Puppy in Breed Best Baby Puppy in Group Best Baby Puppy in Show (b) Veterans In this optional class for All Breed Shows, dogs must be 7 years of age and over on the day of the show. Dogs entered in this class may be spayed or neutered. The awards for this class are: Best Male Veteran and Best Female Veteran Best Veteran in Breed Best Veteran in Group Best Veteran in Show A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Breed is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Group. A Veteran awarded Best Veteran in Group is not required to stay to compete for Best Veteran in Show. (e) Order of Judging When any or all of the above described non-regular classes are offered, and including Altered Classes as described in Section 13, these classes will be judged after Best Puppy in Breed, after Best Puppy in Group and before Best In Show, in the following order: Baby Puppy, Veterans, Altered, Brace, Team, Exhibition Only (g) Exhibition Only All dogs entered in this class shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as dogs entered in regular competitions. Dogs entered in this class may not compete in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes and/or Parades if provided for in the premium list.
Regular Classes: Junior Puppy Class; Senior Puppy Class; 12-18 Month Class; Canadian Bred Class; Bred By Exhibitor Class; Open Class; and Specials Only. Non Regular classes: Baby Puppy. Entry fees are the same as for the All Breed Shows.
12.7 Parades 12.7.1 Dogs entered in parades must be entered in a regular class or in Exhibition Only. Spayed and neutered dogs or dogs in unorthodox trim may be entered in a parade. Details of parades must be included in the premium list. 12.7.2 Parade of Champions A club may offer a Parade of Champions. Dogs entered in the Parade must have completed all requirements for a CKC championship. 12.7.3 Parade of Veterans A club may offer a Parade of Veterans for dogs seven (7) years of age or older.
13.6 Classes & Awards 13.6.1 These classes shall be for any spayed or neutered dogs over 6 months of age. The dogs referred to in paragraphs (a) through (c) will be judged after the judging of the Best Puppy in Breed in the Regular classes, and after Baby Puppy Classes and Veteran Classes if offered. (a) Winners Altered Male/Female Class (b) Reserve Winners Altered Male/Female The second place male/female shall be given this award. (c) Best Altered in Breed In each breed, there may be one Best Altered award. This award shall be confined to the Winners altered Male/Female. Best of Opposite Sex Altered
(iii) Stud Dog and Get A Specialty club may, but is not required to, offer a Stud Dog and Get class. This class shall be comprised of the stud dog and 2 or more of his get. Ownership in this class need not be identical. The stud dog may be spayed/neutered and must be entered in a Regular class or in Exhibition Only. Get must be entered in a Regular class. (iv) Brood Bitch and Progeny This class shall have the same requirements as the Stud Dog and Get class. (v) Award of Merit This award will be made after the Best of Breed judging. A specialty club may offer one Award of Merit for every 10 dogs competing at Best of Breed level. If this award is to be made, it must be in the premium list and the criteria must be fully explained. Where Awards of Merit are offered, these awards are made by the judge after the awarding of Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Best of Winners, Select Dog and Select Bitch from the dogs remaining in the ring.

4.7 Indignities to a Judge 4.7.1 A judge officiating at a show held under these rules shall not be subjected to indignities of any kind during the progress of the show. It shall be duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out.
11 UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT 11.1 It shall be deemed unsportsmanlike conduct if a person during the running of or in connection with an event abuses or harasses a judge, show official or any other person present in any capacity at the event. 11.2 Any handler who displays unsportsmanlike conduct or who is seen to kick, strike or otherwise roughly manhandle a dog at any time during the holding of the event, may be expelled from the show by the Conformation Show Committee. 11.3 The judges shall also have the authority to expel a handler from a show if they observe unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the handler or see the handler kicking, striking or otherwise roughly manhandling a dog while the event is in progress. It will be the duty of the judge to report promptly to the Conformation Show Committee the expulsion of a handler. 11.4 The Conformation Show Committee shall investigate, at once, any instance of alleged unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the handler, or any report that a handler has been observed kicking, striking or otherwise roughly manhandling a dog. If the Conformation Show Committee, after investigation, determines that a handler is in violation of this section, and that the incident, if proven, would constitute conduct prejudicial to the sport or the CKC, it shall exercise its authority in accordance with the Complaints section of these rules.
8.9 Moving a Dog to Specials 8.9.1 A dog that is registered in the records of the CKC or that has a Miscellaneous Certification Number (MCN) and has completed the requirements for a championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of the closing of entries for show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or handler at least one hour prior to the opening of the show. 8.9.2 If it is established that a dog transferred to Specials Only has not completed the championship requirements, all awards will be cancelled and all ribbons and prizes won shall be forfeited. The owner may also be subject to disciplinary action. 8.9.3 When one or more all-breed and/or specialty shows are held on the same day, in the same venue, the request for moving of class dogs to specials must be made a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start of the show for which the dog is being moved up to. The Show Secretary shall amend the judge’s book and the marked catalogue, which is to be sent to the CKC with the requests attached to the appropriate entry forms. 8.9.4 No dog may be transferred to another class except as provided in sections 8.2.5 and 8.9.18.7 Withdrawal of Entries 8.7.1 An exhibitor has the right to withdraw an entry at any time up to the closing date and time as published in the premium list. This may be done by telephone, but either written or electronic notification must be received by the show secretary no later than the official closing date and time as stated in the premium list. If written or electronic notification is not received, the dog will remain entered in the show.

15.1 Championship Points 15.1.1 A dog awarded Winners at a conformation show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be as provided hereunder. 15.1.2 The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded Winners shall be as follows; *Dogs Competing 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 & more Points Allocated 0 1 2 3 4 5 *Includes the dog awarded Winners
In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. 15.1.3 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Breed at the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. 15.1.4 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. 15.1.5 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Winners, then all dogs defeated directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. 15.1.6 If a dog is awarded Winners only, then all the dogs of the same sex in the class competition shall be included in the total. 15.1.7 The number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per this section. Clarification: Example of directly or indirectly defeating: If the Winners Bitch is awarded Best of Opposite Sex but not Best of Winners, the Best of Winners Male shall be deemed to have indirectly defeated the Specials Bitches, and is thus entitled to add them to the number of dogs and bitches defeated. 15.1.8 In addition to championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded Best of Breed that also places in the regular group competition shall be credited with the following additional points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level. (c) have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. 15.1.13 The Board interprets the words “earn at least 10 championship points under 3 different judges” to mean: (a) 3 or more Winners awards at not less than 3 different shows, under 3 different judges at the breed level; (b) each of the 3 Judge’s awards must be one or more championship points won at Winners, Best of Winners, Best of Breed or group placing; (c) all points required for championship status may be earned at winners, best of winners, best of breed or group placing.

15.2 Grand Champion (GCh) 15.2.1 The title of Grand Champion may only be earned after the completion of the CKC conformation Championship. 15.2.2 Points for this title are only accumulated after the completion of the conformation Championship and do not include the points earned in attaining the conformation championship. 15.2.3 To be awarded a Grand Champion title, a dog must attain a minimum of 20 points, which must include a minimum of two (2) wins of at least two (2) points each. Points may be gained at breed, group or Best in Show/Specialty level. Only the highest points earned at a single show are carried forward. a) Grand Champion Point System Points towards the Grand Champion title, at breed level, are awarded to the Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex, Select Dog and Select Bitch. Points are calculated based on the number of animals competing at the breed level for the Best of Breed winner and the number of similar sex dogs competing for the other three (Best of Opposite, Select Dog, Select Bitch). 15.3 Grand Champion Excellent (GChEx) 15.3.1 The title of Grand Champion Excellent may only be earned after the completion of the CKC grand championship title. 15.3.2 Points for this title may be accumulated at any time after the completion of the CKC grand championship but does not include the points earned in attaining the conformation championship or the grand championship. 15.3.3 A minimum of 100 points which must include one (A) Best in Show or a Best of Breed at a breed national specialty (where a minimum of ten dogs have competed) or a Best in Multiple-Breed Specialty with at least three breeds represented plus three (3) Group 1sts or three (3) breed Specialty wins. a) Grand Champion Excellent point system Win Points First in Group or Best in Specialty Show 5 Second in Group or Best of Opposite Single-Breed Specialty Show 4 Third in Group 3 Fourth in Group (Note: No points are acquired if no other dog is present in the group) 2 Best of Breed (To earn the breed points, at least five (5) dogs must be shown at breed level) 1 Best in Show or Best in National Specialty 10 15.3.4 Only the highest points earned at a single show are carried forward. A CGN, Herding Tested Certificate, or Chase Ability Program title are not considered performance titles for the awarding of this title.

9.1 Pre Novice 9.1.1 The Pre-Novice Class is an elective class and earning the title is not a requirement to
enter Novice Classes. 9.1.2 The Pre-Novice Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed
breed or unrecognized breed which has not earned the title of P.C.D. 9.1.3 Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. 9.1.4 A person may enter more than one dog in this class. 9.1.5 The same handler must handle each dog in all 5 exercises unless he has 2 or more
dogs entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the Group Exercise.
9.1.6 Only dogs that have not earned the title of C.D. may enter the Pre-Novice class. 10.1 Novice A 10.1.1 The Novice A Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed
breed or unrecognized breed which has not earned the title of C.D. 10.1.2. Only one dog per handler is allowed in this class, and that person must handle the
dog in all exercises. 10.1.3. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner, or a member of
their immediate families, and must be eligible to handle under section 10.1.4. 10.1.4. No person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a C.D.X. title shall be
allowed to handle a dog in this class. 10.1.5 When a dog is wrongfully entered in this class, any score awarded will be cancelled. 10.2 Novice B 10.2.1 The Novice B Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed
breed or unrecognized breed which has not earned the title of C.D. 10.2.2. Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. 10.2.3 A person may enter more than one dog in this class. 10.2.4 The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or more

10.2.5 No dog may be entered in both the Novice A and Novice B Class at any one trial. 10.3 Novice C 10.3.1 The Novice C Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed
breed or unrecognized breed that has earned the title C.D. or any higher obedience titles.
10.3.2 Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. 10.3.3 A person may enter more than one dog in this class. 10.3.4 The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or more
dogs entered. In such cases, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the Group Exercises.
10.3.5 Dogs may compete in the Novice C class indefinitely. 10.3.6 Scores earned by dogs entered in the Novice C Class are not eligible for High In Trial
and do not qualify a dog for any title. 10.3.7 Dogs may be entered the Novice C Class in addition to any other official or unofficial
classes for which they are eligible. 11.1 Novice Intermediate 11.1.1 The Novice Intermediate Class is an elective class and earning the title is not a
requirement to enter the Open Classes. 11.1.2 The Novice Intermediate Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed,
mixed breed or unrecognized breed that has earned a C.D. or any higher obedience trial titles.
11.1.3 Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. 11.1.4 A person may enter more than one dog in this class. 11.1.5 The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises. 11.1.6 Dogs may compete in the Novice Intermediate class indefinitely. 11.1.7 Scores earned by dogs competing in this class are not eligible for High in Trial. 11.1.8 Dogs may be entered in the Novice Intermediate Class in addition to any other official

12.1 Open Classes 12.1.1 There are four (4) Open classes: The Open HA and Open HB classes, which include the
Out of Sight Group Stay Exercises and the Open 18A and Open 18B classes, which include the Change of Positions and Group Sit - Walk Around exercises.
12.1.2 No dog may be entered in more than one Open Class at any one trial. 12.2 Open HA and Open 18A 12.2.1 The Open A Classes shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed breed
or unrecognized breed which has earned the title of C.D. but has not earned the title of C.D.X.
12.2.2 The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner or a member of their immediate families.
12.2.3 Only one dog per handler is allowed in this class and that person must handle the dog in all exercises.
12..2.4 Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a U.D. title may not handle a dog in these classes.
12.2.5 When a dog is wrongfully entered in these classes, any score awarded will be cancelled. 12.3 Open HB & Open 18B 12.3.1 The Open B Classes shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed breed
or unrecognized breed which has earned the title of C.D. 12.3.2 Dogs that have earned the title of C.D.X. or any higher obedience titles may enter either
of the Open B classes. A dog may also be entered in the Utility Class in the same trial. 12.3.3 Dogs in this class may be handled by the owner or any other person. 12.3.4 A person may enter or handle more than one dog in this class. 12.3.5 The same handler must handle each dog in all 7 exercises unless he has 2 or more dogs
entered. In such case, they must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the group exercise(s).
12.3.6 No dog may be entered in both the Open A and Open B classes at any one trial. 12.2.7 Prior to the start of judging, the judge will choose which of the six numbered routines is to
be performed for Open HB and Open 18B, and which sequence of positions is to be performed in the Change of Positions exercise in the 18B class (in the Open 18A class only sequence (a) will be performed). These choices will not be disclosed to exhibitors until it is posted at ring side at least 30 minutes before the start of each class and never more than one hour before the st art of the trial. In future assignments, judges are required to alternate the six routines so that each routine and sequence will be used approximately the same number of times.
13.1 Utility Class A 13.1.1 The Utility A Class shall be for any dog of any recognized or listed breed, mixed breed or
unrecognized breed which has earned the title of C.D.X. but has not earned the title of U.D.
13.1.2 Any person who has trained or exhibited a dog that has earned a M.O.T.Ch. title may not handle dogs in this class.
13.1.3 The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner or a member of their immediate families.
13.1.4 Owners may enter more than one dog in this class.The same person must handle the dog in all exercises.

16.1 Unofficial Classes 16.1.1 All dogs entered in the Unofficial Classes must be entered in one of the Official Classes or
Exhibition Only.
16.5 Wild Card Classes 16.5.1. No title is required for entry in any Wild Card class, but any dog entered must be capable
of performing the exercises required at the class level in which it is entered. 16.5.2 The owner or any other person may handle dogs in these classes. 16.5.3 A person may enter more than one dog in any of these classes. 16.5.4 Handlers may use verbal encouragement and praise during exercises in these classes
without penalty. Handlers may also use additional commands, but will be penalized accordingly.
16.5.5 TheWild Card option: A handler may choose to perform all exercises in a class, in which case all will be scored, or a handler may choose to skip one exercise and receive full credit for that exercise.The handler must inform the judge which exercise will be skipped before beginning the exercises. If an exercise is chosen to be skipped, it may not be performed. (E.g., a handler may choose to omit the Stand for Examination in Novice, the Long Down in Open, or the Directed Jumping in Utility, and receive a perfect score for the exercise.)
16.5.6 Wild Card Novice Class. Any dog that is capable of performing the Novice Class exercises may be entered in the Wild Card Novice Class, which will be performed and judged as the regular Novice Class.
16.5.7 Wild Card Open Class. Any dog that is capable of performing the Open Class exercises may be entered in the Wild Card Open Class, which will be performed and judged as the regular Open A Class.
16.5.8 Wild Card Utility Class. Any dog that is capable of performing the Utility Class exercises may be entered in the Wild Card Utility Class, which will be performed and judged as the regular Utility A Class. Handlers are permitted to encourage and praise their dogs verbally during the performance of all Utility exercises except the signal exercise.
16.6 Brace Class 16.6.1 The Brace Class is open to any 2 dogs that have earned the title of C.D. or higher. 16.6.2 It is not necessary that the same person owns both dogs, nor that they be the same
breed, except when entered in a breed specialty obedience trial. 16.6.3 The owner or any other person may handle a brace in this class. 16.6.4 A person may enter more than one brace in this class. 16.5.5 The same handler must handle each brace in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or more
braces entered. In such case, he must have an additional handler for each extra brace when they are judged together in the Group Exercises.
16.6.6 The Brace Class is performed and judged in the same manner as the Novice Class. The 2 dogs shall be hitched together with a brace chain or coupling and are judged on the performance of the 2 dogs as though they were one.
16.8 Veterans Class 16.8.1 The Veterans Class shall be for any dog that has earned the title of C.D. or higher and is 7
years old or older on the day of the trial. 16.8.2 The exercises shall be performed and judged as in the Novice Classes. 16.8.3 The owner or any other person may handle a dog in this class. 16.8.4 A person may enter more than one dog in this class. 16.8.5 The same handler must handle each dog in all 6 exercises unless he has 2 or more dogs
entered. In such case, he must have an additional handler for each extra dog when they are judged together in the Group Exercises.

11.2 Rally Advanced B 11.2.1 This class will be for dogs that have earned the R.N. title. A dog completing the R.A. title
may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class.
12.1 Rally Excellent A 12.1.1 This class shall be for dogs that have earned the R. A. title, but have not earned the R. E.
title or any CKC Obedience title other than P.C.D.. No handler who has exhibited a dog through its CKC C.D.X. title shall be eligible to enter this class. The handler of any dog in this class must be the owner, co-owner, or a member of their immediate families. A person may enter more than one dog in this class.
12.1.2 No dog may be entered in both Rally Excellent A and Rally Excellent B at any one trial. 12.2 Rally Excellent B 12.2.1 This class will be for dogs that have earned the R.A. title. A dog completing the R.E. title
may continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class.
13.1 Rally Master 131. This class will be for dogs that have earned the RE title. A dog completing the RM title may
continue to compete in this class indefinitely. The owner or any other person may handle dogs in this class. A person may enter more than one dog in this class.
14 Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) 14.1 Upon completion of the Rally Excellent title, qualifying scores may be accumulated from the
Rally Advanced B Class and the Rally Excellent B Class to earn the Rally Advanced Excellent (RAE) title.
14.2 In order to receive the RAE title, a dog must qualify 10 times in both the Rally Advanced B Class and the Rally Excellent B Class at the same trial. The RAE title will appear at the end of the dog’s name and a numeric designation will indicate the number of times the dog has met RAE requirements, i.e. RAE2, RAE3, etc.
15 Rally Master Excellent (RMX) 15.1 Upon completion of the Rally Master title, qualifying scores may be accumulated from the
Rally Excellent B Class and the Rally Master Class to earn the Rally Master Excellent (RMX) title.
15 In order to receive the RMX title, a dog must qualify 10 times in both the Rally Excellent B Class and the Rally Master Class at the same trial with scores of 90 or higher in Excellent and 85 or higher in Master. Double qualifying score must be earned under at least five different judges. The RMX title will appear at the end of the dog’s name and a numeric designation will indicate the number of times the dog has met RMX requirements - i.e., RMX2, RMX3, etc.
9.1 Rally Novice A 9.1.1 Dogs competing in this class may not have earned the R. N. title or any Obedience title

15.1 Unofficial Classes 15.1.2 All dogs entered in unofficial classes must also be entered in an official Rally class or
Exhibition Only. 15.2 Rally Brace Classes 15.2.1 Brace class requirements shall be the same as those listed for the Obedience Brace
Class, except that they are open to any 2 dogs that have earned a title of R.N. or higher.
15.2.2 Clubs may offer one or all levels of classes: Rally Novice, Rally Advanced and/or Rally Excellent.
15.3 Rally Team Classes 15.3.1 Eligibility for Team Classes shall be the same as that listed for the Obedience Team
Class, except that the class is open to any 4 dogs that have earned a title of R.N. or higher.
15.3.2 Clubs may offer one or all levels of classes: Rally Novice, Rally Advanced and/or Rally Excellent.
15.3.3 Each team member will run the course individually, with the team time running continuously. The judge will give the first member of the team the “Forward” command from the “Start” sign. Each subsequent dog and handler will start when the previous dog and handler pass the “Finish” sign, without any additional command of “Forward” by the judge. Timing for each team will begin when the judge commands “Forward” to the first handler in the team and will stop when the fourth handler and dog pass the finish line.
6.9 Moving Up 6.9.1 A dog that is registered in the records of the CKC with an eligible number according to
these rules and has fulfilled the requirements for a title in accordance with these rules may be moved to the next level of competition if the schedule permits. The transfer must be on the appropriate move-up form and submitted to the trial secretary by the owner or handler at least 15 minutes before the start of the class.
6.9.2 When move ups are permitted, clubs are exempt from the requirements of Section 4.3.4 and 4.3.5.
6.9.3 The Trial Secretary shall amend the judge’s book and the marked catalogue, which is to be sent to the CKC with the requests attached to the appropriate entry forms.
6.9.4 If it is established by the CKC that a dog moved up to the next level has not completed the requirements for the lower level before moving up, then all qualifying ribbons and/or awards earned by the dog incorrectly entered shall be forfeited and cancelled by the CKC and the owner may be subject to disciplinary action.
6.9.5 In order for a dog to be eligible to move up, the dog must be individually registered with the CKC, have a Performance Event Number (PEN), or an Event Registration Number (ERN) before entries close. The addition of a CKC number after close of entries does not make the dog eligible and will result in referral to the Discipline Committee.
6.9.6 Exhibitors incorrectly entered in the A class are permitted to move the dog to the corresponding B or C class up to one hour before the start of the trial. Exhibitors incorrectly entered in the Novice B class are permitted to move the dog to the Novice C class up to one hour before the start of the trial.

3.6 Indignities to a Judge 3.6.1 A judge officiating at a trial held under these rules shall not be subjected to indignities of any kind during
the progress of the trial. It shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the trial to see that this rule is effectively carried out.
6.4 Dogs Must Compete 6.4.1 Any dog entered and received at a trial must compete in all individual exercises of all classes in which it is
entered, unless excused by the judge, superintendent or the Trial chair. If a dog is excused by any of these officials for biting or attempting to bite, the reason for the excusal must be recorded by the official on the relevant CKC form, a copy of the form provided to the dog’s handler in the ring and the CKC, according to Appendix D.
6.5 Bitches In Season 6.5.1 Bitches in season are not permitted to compete.The judge of a trial must remove from competition any
bitch in season, or any bitch which appears so attractive to males as to be a disturbing element. 6.5.2 When a bitch comes into season after entries have closed, the trial-giving club must refund the entry fee
and listing fee providing the trial secretary receives, on or before the date of the trial, a veterinarian’s certificate declaring that the bitch was in season within the 10 day period preceding the trial.
The club reserves the right to remove any person(s) from the show and the show grounds. The Show Superintendent shall have full control of these shows and trials, which are governed by CANADIAN KENNEL CLUB (CKC) rules. Any person excused by the Show Superintendent or Veterinarian for any reason shall not, compete in any class for any awards for the balance of the shows, trials and or events. The Show committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of accident or misfortune to either dogs, exhibitors, spectators or vendors. Exhibitors may be asked by the show superintendent for proof of third party liability insurance. Failure to produce may result in dismissal from the show grounds. Dogs must be on the grounds 1 hour prior to the judging of their class. The owner of a dog entered in these shows is entirely responsible for any error in entering his/her dog regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. Exhibitors and handlers will be responsible for their dogs and equipment left at the show grounds. All recreational units will have buckets underneath for their sink drains. Any one found discharging water on the grounds will be removed by order of the Health Department, and may be subject to fine. If, because of civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of the club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, there is no refund of entry. Dogs must be on leash at all times on the show grounds or within the show building with the exception of the obedience rings. All dogs must be exercised in the grass areas to the North/West of the CHP buildings. Dogs may not urinate on or near the building. Failure to observe this rule may result in dismissal. Plastic sheeting must be used under all exercise pens and up the sides to prevent a dog from urinating beyond the pen. Exhibitors are expected to maintain a clean area. Please be considerate when utilizing the building facilities. No dogs are permitted in the washrooms. No Dogs in in the seating or food line-up adjacent to the food concession. The welfare of any children is deemed to be the responsibility of the guardian or parent. Please exercise control and restraint over your child’s behaviour. The club is not responsible for lost or stolen property from exhibitors or vendors/concessions. Check for lost property at the club table. The club reserves the right to refuse an individuals entries, for just cause. Delays waiting for dogs will not be possible and handlers with several breeds must arrange for alternative handlers if judging times for their dogs conflict. The club reserves the right of restricting exhibitors grooming space. Fire lanes in all areas will be maintained. All exhibitors must follow direction by Chilliwack Heritage Park personnel. Grooming is not allowed in the Obedience Benching area. No dogs may be left overnight in any of the buildings.
