1) Relax.

2) At your desk you may have a writing utensil with up to four (4) spares, a single large eraser, a single non-programmable scientific calculator, a ruler, your University ID card, the exam, and yourself. All other materials must be set aside according to the instructions of your proctor.

3) A periodic table and useful equations are found on the final page of the examination.

You may remove that page and use the back of it as scratch paper. You will submit that page to the Proctor with the rest of your exam. You are not permitted to remove any portion of the exam from the examination room.

4) Work for calculations must be shown when instructions dictate and answers must be

written unambiguously and placed in the provided boxes or no credit will be awarded.

5) Per Chemistry Department policy, any talking to another student during the exam, no matter the reason, will be considered academic dishonesty.

6) This exam will not be returned to you to keep. You will have until Friday, July 24 to make

an appointment with the instructor to view your exam. The key to the exam will be posted on the Compass course website.
