What is Advocacy?
• To Educate, Lobby;• To speak or write in favor of; support or urge by
argument‐‐recommend publicly;• A person who speaks or writes in support or
defense of a person or cause;• To inform‐‐to educate oneself about the best
course of action;• A group of persons who work or conduct a
campaign to influence members of a legislature to vote according to the group’s interest;
• To solicit or try to influence the votes of members of a legislative body.
