Criminal Homicide = Murder

●Done with malice●Or reckless disregard for human life●Different categories carry different punishments

First Degree Murder

●Done with malice●Premeditated●deliberate

Felony Murder●Takes place during the commission of a felony●Malice, premeditation, deliberateness need not be present

2nd Degree Murder

●With malice●Without premeditation or deliberation

●Intentional, spontaneous, unplanned

Voluntary Manslaughter

●Victim does something that would cause a reasonable person to lose self-control
