How does a pilot make this happen?

• 5th Grade iPod Touch Math & Science• 6th Grade iPod Nano Social Studies• 8th Grade iPod Touch 8th grade Math and Algebra

• Creating videos and using apps we were able to make students accountable for learning beyond the school day.

• Students were able to work at their own level.• They were able to put their homework in their

pocket and take it anywhere.

• Raised the interest in school• The explored every feature of the device• Saved tons of paper!• Able to keep track of notes for class and

assignments when it was in one place.• Gone are the days of an armful of textbooks, it

is all in one place. • Student using a mobile device for an academic

purpose increased by 40% during the pilot process for 8th grade.

Teacher Point of View

• Podcasts are one of the most powerful products that a student can create.

• It requires students to research, synthesize the information, find visuals that supports the information, write a script, record the information and edit it. 

• Retention is excellent, because students revisit the information several times in an interesting and non-repetitive manner.
