Food in Lithuania

• The dominant Lithuanian food product is a black rye bread.(1)

Food waste• Because it is consumed

every day, there are a lot of leftovers that are usually thrown away in common waste bins.

• Supermarkets thrown tons of food. On the expiry of the shelf-life (2)

• It is discarded even if it is still suitable for human consumption (3)

Winter seasons

• In addition, the winter season can be pretty cold in this area, a lot of animals in forests are starving.

IDEA!

• make a simple box that can be attached to common waste bins there general waste is put. And inform people and supermarkets to put their leftovers of bread in it.

Food for animals

• There are organizations who take care of starving animals in winter, they could collect the "bread boxes" use them whenever there is a big need for food in the nature.

• As bread is a type of product that can be dried and stored for a long time.

VALUE• Every loaf of bread that is

left not consumed can be re-used again - for those who really need it.
