Scenario: Description I

Responsibility areas of reporting users for cost centers are defined in the cost center hierarchy in R/3.

The information is extracted from R/3 to SAP BW.

Based on this information reporting users with authority profile assignments are generated by generictool functions in SAP BW.

Can thus be used to personalize the iViews and queries for the portal.

Definition of Responsibility Areas in R/3

Responsibility areas for reporting users in cost centeraccounting

Two basic types of responsibility area are possible:

assignment of a user to a representative cost center for a hierarchy node.

assignment of a user to a single cost center, i. e. a leave of the cost center hierarchy.

Any combination of these two basic types of responsibility area can be used.

Generating Users & Profiles in BW

Two types of information are used for Generating Users & Profiles:1.) Function specific information

The name of the reference user is specified in ODS 0CCA_003.

Such as role assignments and authority profiles for the roles.Is equal for all generated users.

Is taken from a reference user.

The default reference user for all users isCO_REFUSER.

2.) Organization specific information

Is extracted from R/3.

Is stored in ODS objects.

Is different for all generated users.

0CCA_001 – values.

0CCA_002 – hierarchy nodes.Is used to generate the authority profiles for thereporting authorization for a specific reporting user.
