For the month of
November, our
employee of the
month is Stefani
Colorado. Stefani,
who is our compa-
ny photographer,
has gone out of her
way to help with
the start up of our
new business Ca-
ter-Pillars Catering. Stefani has been
on task she has completed all her
work she was assigned. And not only
has she completed her work. She has
helped her fellow employees get their
work done. She has always been on
time and not a day has she been late.
Good job Stefani, and congratulations
on the hard work. Keep up the great
work!
From time to time, it may be necessary for you to be absent
from work. Cater-Pillar Catering Service is aware emergencies,
illnesses, or pressing personal business that cannot be scheduled
outside your work hours may arise. Sick days and personal days
have been provided for this purpose.
You will receive one day per month of sick leave. This may be
used for illness or personal days. Each absence beyond that will
result in loss of a day’s wages
Reporting Absences
If the employee is unable to report to work, or if the employee
will arrive late, employees are required to contact their manager
immediately. Failure to call in will result in loss of wage for the
day. If you know in advance that you will need to be absent, you
are required to request this time off directly from your manager.
The request must be made in writing.
When you call in to inform Cater-Pillar Catering Service of an
unexpected absence or late arrival, ask for your manager direct-
ly. For late arrivals, please indicate when you expect to arrive
for work. If you are unable to call because of an illness, emer-
gency or for some other reason, be sure to have someone call on
your behalf. If your manager is not available when you call, ask
for the CEO or consultant.
Human Resource Corner Employee of the Month
Amber Villar is the COO of Cater-Pillars Catering. Her leadership over the past
two years shows how much effort and determination she puts into managing
our business. She makes sure that the departments are running smoothly and
that all of our employees are on task focusing on whatever assignments they
need to accomplish. Amber organized our meetings for the company and keeps
our employees up to date on any changes or events that are happening. As a
COO she keeps everyone clarified on what they are doing so no one is con-
fused. Overall Amber has what it takes and is accomplishing her task as a COO
CEOs
One of our very own CEOs, Mike Narcizo, has shown capability to keep our
company going. He has shown excellent leadership by directing each depart-
ment so they can have finished products by the due date. If staff members
struggle with assignments, Mike is there to provide assistance and helpful
opinions. Although there are other employees doing their jobs, Mike has to
make sure everything runs efficiently and according to plan. Even though
Mike has all these tasks to complete, he’s not alone. He is accompanied by
our COO, Amber Villar.

A Walk in the
Park is a com-
munity service
event some of
our employees
from Cater-
Pillars Catering
had the spectac-
ular opportunity
to attend. The
Choc Walk in
the Park is a 5K walk through Disneyland and California Adventure. The goal for this fundraiser is to raise
enough money for the Children Hospital of Orange County to build their emergency room. Each of our
employees raised $50, and the Children Hospital got a donation of about $1.8 million from all the partici-
pants, nearly meeting their goal of 2 million. A total of 16,000 walkers attended this event and we are
proud to say that out of those 16,000 walkers the staff of Cater-Pillars Catering was a part of the wonder-
ful event.
We started fundraising money for the 2014 End of the year New
York trade show requiring each student to set a goal to raise enough
money to pay for the trip. Aside from the big picture, we’ve accom-
plished many different fundraising activities. This year alone we’ve
participated in the carnival in which we sold corn on a cob and
spongy face, a game where we gave others opportunity to throw
sponges at our employees. Our customers were full of joy while
participating in this game.
Another fundraiser we did was a carwash. This has aided us in our
goals for New York, Bakersfield, and other trade shows. We made
sure that the cars who arrived dirty came out clean, while creating a
fun bonding experience for the employees who participated.
For the Halloween season we sold Halloween-O-Grams with
stuffed toy bats, small, tasty treats, and the Halloween card. Cus-
tomers were thrilled to see the grams being delivered to that special
someone they had sent it to.
We look forward to all upcoming fundraisers because, it’s always
fun to be around fellow employees as well as make a profit.

Birria is a known Mexican dish and very
traditional in many events such as
Quinceñeras, weddings, and family parties.
Birria is marinated and seasoned to fit the
tradition when its being cooked. It can be
eaten with beans and rice. For flavor add
chopped onions, top it with squeezed lem-
on, or fresh cilantro. Birria is a great dish
to serve at a party for anyone who can as-
sociate with the Mexican tradition and
their food.

Teamwork, respect, and communication
are important values that we as company
and individuals need in order to be suc-
cessful. Our first team building activity
was a paper airplane competition. We
each cooperated with each other to form
a line in order of our birthdays. The
catch was we couldn’t speak. This was a
great example of teamwork and commu-
nication. Everyone showed their com-
munication skills by hand gesture. After
the lines were formed we broke down
into small groups of 4 people and on
paper listed five common similarities.
We then fold the papers into airplanes and competed to see which plane would fly the farthest. To con-
clude our activities we shared donuts in the classrooms. The team building was a great experience to
meet new people, have some fun, and make new memories with co-workers.
