Paul Klee

At the beginning of his career, Paul Klee struggled with color theory. He did not feel he had eye for color that was necessary for becoming a great painter. After years of practice, he finally overcame his limitation. He went on to write and teach about color and is considered one of the most important figures in Modern Art.

Many art critics consider Ad Parnassum to by Paul Klee’s masterpiece. It is painted in the pointillist style, being made up of many dots of color. He was influenced by color and music. He believed that art is created by overlapping colors, just like music is created by overlapping sounds.
